Pyrex Storage Bowls - WONDERFUL!

I first used these bowls at my daughter-in-laws. They are just the perfect size for food preparation as well as storage -- Out went several of my mismatched bowls! They nest for storing in the cupboard--freeing up space. I love the straight sides rather than flared---makes them even more compact.

I like this because it doesn't leave any smell, order, or stains like tupperware does. And in my opinion, the glass is more sanitary than plastic. It's great for taking your lunch to work too!

Eliminating Plastic from my Kitchen

I bought these to replace my plastic storage containers. I have been increasingly concerned about pthalates and other plastic toxins leaching into my food--especially when the food is hot. I wish there was a way around the plastic lids, but at least the plastic lids firmly seal them for travel. For now, I wait until the food has cooled before sealing them with the plastic lid. I am very pleased that they can go from the freezer to the oven. They are very much worth the money, and my kitchen has way less plastic in it now!

Very nice bowl set. Lids are very tight fitting, I would not trust them to hold liquid if they tipped, but they would keep the flood back at least.

Round and handy

These dishes are just as handy as their cousins which come in rectangular sizes. Handy to carry small servings to needed places, easy to view the contents.

Glass Rules!

I was tired of the plastic containers with leftovers in them getting stained and peeling once you've used them a couple of times and put them into the dishwasher. These Pyrex bowles are the best. They get squeaky clean in the dishwasher and are just the right size for leftovers to store in the refrigerator. I've replaced all of my plastic with these.

This was a gift we gave to someone who was looking to replace a single broken bowl. She was so happy with the product, both because of its versitility and the size of the bowls, that she cleared out extra space in her cupboards to be able to store it where she could get at it all of the time. The best thing about the product was the size of the bowls; it is not easy to find smaller bowls.

I first found this set at Costco and bought one. Since then I have bought three more sets from Cooking.com. I'm glad you carry them. I think they are great and the glass is far superior to plastic in my opinion. I am replacing all my plastic storage containers with these.

This set was purchased for my daughter's first apartment. She loves them.

These bowls are great. This is the second time we've ordered them. This time, we bought enough to replace ALL of our old, warped plastic storage. It felt so good to throw all of those away and replace them with beautiful glass bowls we know won't fade, stain, etc.
Our original set, which is over a year old, cannot be distinguished from our new set because they show no signs of wear whatsoever.

GLASS Good Seal Saves Space

I really like these storage containers for the following reasons:
- they are glass and do not react with food
- they seal nicely
- they are very compact and stack on the refrigerator shelves
I would like more sizes.

Excellent, solid, versatile storage and cooking containers. I gave them as gifts this year and everybody appreciated them. They are durable and MADE IN THE USA which I like.

Food safety with Pyrex

I've owned Pyrex storage bowls for over a decade and have often filled them with chocolates to give away as gifts. Because glass is one of the safest containers for food storage, I can microwave soup and save it in the same bowl. I love them for Jello. The only drawback - I wish they had handles so I could remove them safely from the microwave. To compensate for the lack of handles, I place the bowl on a Chinet plate for warming. That way, I can remove the bowl safely from the M-W without using mittens.

Very Useful Storage

These food storage bowls by Pyrex are the best refrigerator storage I have ever owned. They go from the fridge/freezer to the microwave and clean up in the dishwasher. The bowls are made of high temperature glass and do not stain. You have to be a little careful about the lids in the microwave with very hot or fatty foods. I have damaged one lid from heat but I can still use it. The seals are very good.

Sturdy lids and handy bowls

Have been using this line of round and rectangular bowls for over a year now. This is our third set 'cuz we just like 'em and use 'em a lot. They don't break easily, as expected from Pyrex. I did drop one on ceramic tile floors and it made a gazillion-and-a-half shards. The rubbery plastic lids are sturdy and tight, stay tight, and don't get brittle from use in the fridge and freezer, at least not yet. We don't have a dishwasher. We avoid using the lids in the microwave in case they'd get brittle from that (it happened to our similar Corningware lids, and I bet these would start to crack too if we nuked 'em regularly). You can nest the different sizes together but the same-sized bowls don't stack compactly, so they might take up some space in your cabinets, compared to some of those plastic stackables, but who would want their food stored in plastic?
