Typical stamped knives are punched out like a cookie cutter. Wusthof Silverpoint II knives are laser cut. This intricate manufacturing process is superior to others as it is more precise and leaves the knives with less distortion. The Silverpoint II knives use the same steel that is used in our other more expensive knives. Wusthof uses a special blend of German steel throughout the whole length of the knife. The ingredients of this steel are proudly etched on each blade. Wusthof not only uses the best materials to make a fine knife, but it is also crucial that each blade is precisely tempered. This tempering allows the knife to hold its edge for an extremely long time, yet can be maintained in your home kitchen without the need to be sent away for maintenance.

Located in the cutlery capital of the world, Solingen Germany, the Wusthof factory history goes back as far as 1814 when the company was listed with the duchy of berg. To this day, the company remains family owned. Each step is performed to exacting standards by skilled German workers aided by the most modern, computer-guided equipment. It is this balance of German technology and old world hand craftsmanship that is the secret of how each Wüsthof knife is created. Known the world-over for its unique and uncompromising quality, our unique compound angle is not seen in many knives. This angle tapers from the spine of the knife to the edge to allow for a sturdy, yet extremely sharp edge while it also tapers from the bolster to the tip to give the knife strength as well as flexibility.

    Lightweight, super-sharp knives

    by Lucy, UT
    August 23, 2010

I only wanted one of these, the curved one for lemon zesting, but the set was so cheap I didn't mind getting all 3. I do not regret it, haven't even used the one I wanted yet. The other 2 are feather weight, very well made, and the sharpest knives I have. Highly recommended, great value

    Little Wonders

    by Donna, MD
    November 7, 2010

These knives are great for any job. They are very sharp and help you ease through your job.

Like the fact that each knife is designed for different jobs, such as the curved paring knife that is designed to follow the shape of the item only taking off the top layer of skin not taking off too much of the vegetable or potato.

Don't know how I cooked without them !!

This is my second set of these knives; I love my first set so much that I decided to get a "backup" set. They are so inexpensive but do the job so well. Lightweight and small handle; fits my hand perfectly!

    Best Knives

    October 29, 2010

I've been using cheap knives from the grocery store all my life. Using this new knife set is thrilling. I can't believe how sharp they are. I can peel potatoes with these without wasting a bit of the "meat" of the potatoe.

I am so glad that I bought all of these products. It is so nice to be able to cut things; my other knifes could not cut the way they should have. I am very pleased that I now own your knifes and will advise others to buy them. Thank you.

Was amazed with quality for the price. I'm a 'knife' nerd./geek. Usually prefer Wusthof or Henckels for my kitchen.

    knives

    by Ann , TX
    January 22, 2013

Knife blades are a bit too thin and flexible for paring. I prefer a more sturdy blade that doesn't flex as much.
