Farberware all stainless steel pots are basic to cooking. The 3-qt. size is the perfect size for cooking a variety of simple things. The depth of the pot (versus the depth of some of the more expensive 3-qt pots) is perfect. The pot is easy to keep clean - stainless steel pads work beautifully on the inside, and I don't worry about tossing the pot in the dishwasher.

Stainless Farberware pan

by Sally, NY

I purchased this pan to replace one I owned as part of a set for 20 years. I love stainless steel for its smooth easy cleanable surface (no chipping of a non-scratch finish ever). Why did I have to replace the old one? The handle on my particular pan recently kept coming loose and I had tried everything (tightening the screw, glueing, etc.) and decided the handle screw was stripped. But the pan itself was still in wonderful shape. Anything that lasts and performs great for 20 years is worth replacing. The shape of the new pan is slightly deeper and narrower than the old one, but that's the only difference I see.

I bought this to replace a very old 3 quart Farberware sauce pan, however, the dimensions are a bit different. This new one is taller in height thereby making the width narrower so I can not fit my steamer into this new one !! So now I had to go buy a new steamer insert.
