The CHEFS 32-oz. Grease Separator is a simple, mess-free way to remove excess fats from stock, sauces and gravies. The handheld CHEFS grease separator's container allows you to easily strain fats off of broth to make gravy for mashed potatoes or delicious sauces for meat dishes. To use this separator, you simply pour the pan juices from your pork roast or baked chicken into the container. The grease will rise to the top, and the CHEFS grease separator's strainer lid separates out the unwanted fats and food particles. Then you just press the handle so the liquid flows into the built-in measuring cup at the bottom. The clear, BPA-free measuring cup allows you to easily portion your broth into 2-ounce increments. Use the easy-release lever to drain the grease-free liquid into your sauce pan or mixing bowl. You'll enjoy the smooth texture this device gives to your sauces as much as you'll love the guilt-free, low-fat gravies.
Mess-free CHEFS grease separator makes straining broth simple
Strain food particles and fat from your broth for smooth gravies and sauces
Clear, BPA-free plastic measuring cup allows you to see how much liquid has been strained

I have used and have the other model of separator that has the spout at the bottom side of the cup, but this one is so much better! Because no matter how carefully you tip it and pour the spouted type, some of the grease from the top always sneaks in with the juices and gets into the spout! So I was never happy with it, and was always looking for something better. Then I saw this one, and I thought I had to try it! With this separator you just squeeze the handle and the separated juice flows out the bottom of the cup while the fat sits on the top unmoved and you just let go of the handle when you get to the fat! Easy peasy, no muss, no fuss! I used this on this Thanksgiving for my Turkey pan drippings and my gravy was fabulous! I can't wait to use it again and again on all my liquids that need to have the fat removed! Clean up was very quick and easy, I washed it by hand, but I'm sure it would do fine in the top rack of the dishwasher! I just wanted to see how hard it was to clean by hand! I highly recommend this product to everyone!

By far the best Grease Separator ever! I have bought many kinds of separators only to throw them away as I felt they never did the job quite like I wanted them to. When I discovered this offer, not only did I buy one at first, but after my daughter and future daughter-in-law like it as well I re-ordered 3 more, (another one for myself)!
This is one of the few kitchen gadgets that is worth having. It is so much easier to skim the top of a pot into the seperator and replace the good stuff from the grease than try to just skim the grease off with a spoon.
I have had many separators, but this one is the tops. No more trying to pour off the fat from the top. You just squeeze the handle and you get the juices of the meat or bird for making gravy and let go of the handle when you see the liquid inside getting to the fat level. I have used it several times now starting on the Thanksgiving turkey and it just worked perfectly for me when I cooked a beef brisket. Couldn't ask for anything better.
I've had an "old-fashioned" grease separator for many years and it did the job of separating the fat from the drippings. The problem came in when trying to pour the drippings back into the pan to make gravy. There was always a portion of fat that initially poured back before the drippings reached the spout. This design really solves that problem! I bought this just before Thanksgiving and was very happy to have TOTALLY fat-free drippings to make my turkey gravy with! It was extremely easy to use and cleanup was a breeze. It even makes grease disposal easy. I just popped off the top and poured the grease into a container to throw away. I also love the strainer top...no chunks of burnt drippings in my gravy. I've already purchased a second one to give as a gift!
I used this yesterday for the first time for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was so easy to strain and separate the drippings from the fat. This works SO much better than standard low spout type separators. I will be buying these for Christmas gifts this year. This is a terrific item!
Ask my husband....I have a thing for grease separators and this 32 oz grease separator really takes the cake! Solid construction, sits firmly on top of jar, easy to clean...I can't say enough! It arrived in time for Thanksgiving dinner and the gravy was delicious!
Finally, a separator that allows you to let the good stuff out the bottom while keeping the fat on top with a sieve at the top to collect solids. No more trying to pour the good stuff out while not letting the fat out.
I have not used the product yet, but am excited now that I have it. I will be using it in a few days. I have always wanted one, now I have it and hope it meets my needs. I had to give the rating a 4 because I have not used it yet. I put I would recommend even though I have not used it because I have wanted it for a while now.
Waiting for Thanksgiving to give it a real test run. Looks like it should work well.
Like the larger size, my other one only held a cup and would have to do it in 1 cup portions.
Will see if it leaks out the bottom when it is closed and how crack resistant it is.
