Great pitcher or refrigerator storage jar

These Bormioli glass pitchers are hte best. I'm trying to use as much glass and stainless steel in my kitchen as possible. Due to serious health/safety concerns, I want, to stay away from plastics and other metals. I am using this one to store real maple syrup in the fridge.
BE CAREFUL when you do anything that causes a quick, big change in temperature. These are NOT tempered glass and need to be warmed or cooled slowly, though they are dishwasher safe. Just don't add hot water without warming gradually with water.

It was exactly as described. It's very nice, it doesn't take up much room.

I love this pitcher!

I have 2 of these pitchers and 2 of the larger size. I fill them with filtered tap water so we always have cold, filtered drinking water. It's very convenient to put the pitcher on the dinner table at meal time. Wherever possible, we are replacing plastic containers with glass containers due to health concerns of using plastics. Great pitchers at a great price!

Great iced coffee or iced tea container!

This pitcher is great. It fits perfectely in the fridge and is wonderful for iced coffee or tea because it can handle the warmer fluids w/o changing the flavor. Just be aware that it isn't completely spill-proof. It will stay sealed if left upright, but if it falls over it may leak a bit.

Works ok, altho spout is tricky to figure out. It is nice to store milk, as it just seems healthier, keeping it in glass.

I use two of these pitchers to keep filtered water fresh and cold in the refrigerator. They're perfect.

I am very happy with this glass pitcher, I use it to store home made juices and feel very comfortable knowing that is safe and that the container will not retain odors. I totally recommend it,. I spent several days looking for one and I am glad I decided to purchase this one, I love it!

For purity of flavor...

I love this pitcher. It's made of a thick durable glass. Which is so difficult to find. This item also comes with a lid that twists, providing a tight (via suction) leak proof seal. What a joy to have iced coffee that doesn't have that added taste of plastic !!

Just great

My husband likes regular milk and I like skim, so this pitcher is the perfect size for a quart of milk - one for each of us. Keeps the milk fresh longer and it's also much better tasting than in the waxy carton milk comes in. I also like to cook with half and half - this keeps it fresh and ready when I need it.

Attractive but too slender

This is a very simple, unadorned, yet attractive utilitarian pitcher. It seems to take up the same amount of space as 1 liter (1 quart) carton of milk.

Pros:
- Clean simple look
- Easily fits in tight places in the fridge

Cons:
- handle is too close to the body - difficult to get fingers in there.
- handle is attached at only one point - feels like it might snap off (but probably won't)
- lid is not leak proof
- lid has nooks and crannies that are unnecessarily difficult to clean
- pitcher is too slender - feels like it is going to fall over when standing upright.
- opening it too narrow - making it difficult to wash.

My wish:
Somebody please invent a pitcher that addresses the items in my Cons list, and you will have a million customers.

When I ordered this product I wasn't paying good attention to it's size so I unfortunately assumed that it was at least big enough to fit at least a half gallon of liquid in them. It's only a quart size which does me no good. The quality of the pitchers are good but it defeats my purpose of wanting to store juices and milk in my refrigerator since they come in half gallon containers.

Excellent value, just-right size

The glass is not thin. It's noticeably hefty ... but not nuisance-heavy. I was a little alarmed at the handle, it seemed short & too close to the body of the container. But I have found that this makes it easier to hold the pitcher without wrist fatigue.

There is a note in the instructions reminding to not fill a hot pitcher with cold liquid and vice versa. This is because glass contracts and usually breaks with extreme and sudden temperature changes. I have filled the room temperature container with boiling water and not had any issues.

The lid is easy to lossen too much and it falls down into the container. It would be better if the lid did not come all the way apart.

This stylish glass pitcher is such a nice alternative to the plastic ones usually available for the refrigerator. Nice to have a lid as well to fend against other refrigerator odors. Very nice for serving beverages to guests at your table as well.

Very convienent size. Great for fresh lemonade!

I have not been able to get the top to be secure on the pitcher and that is the whole reason I bought it.

A Good Glass Pitcher

Hard to find glass pitchers these days. I wanted something this size though it's made for the fridge and I'm not using it that way. I am using as a water pitcher as I wanted glass and a lid. Wish the lid was stainless steel, not plastic. The glass is really thick making this too heavy for what I'd like. Also the handle is not the most ergonomic (though I realize this is made for a fridge door). I like that the lid can seal the pitcher, most of these types don't work that way.
It's a quality product.
