I love this thing. Right away you can taste all of the fruit in the wine. It just opens it right up. It's like you decanted it for an hour. I found that even a cheaper bottle tastes like something much better after you use this.
Just make sure you're not pouring too slowly because the wine will start leaking out of the air holes in the sides. Not very much, but it will get on your hands and can get a little messy.
Overall, great product. My husband and I brought it with us to our friend's house for dinner, and they actually ended up going on to Cooking.com that night and ordering one too. I would definately recommend this to anyone.

This products works exceptionally well. You do need to be careful when pouring and pour rather quickly to prevent wine coming out the air holes. The difference in taste is amazing and we have already had friends ask where they can buy one.

Wonderful flavor change!

Bought this with some hesitation but decided what did I have to lose (but $30.00?) Opened it yesterday and used it on a 2009 bottle of Merlot and the difference between straight pour and aerated wine was amazing. Going now to buy more cheap red wines to sample through it. Expect the best!

I have a Vinturi Wine Aerator and was purchasing 2 for my relative for Christmas. In the airports at Brookstone, I found them for $10 cheaper! Aren't airport prices supposed to be higher? I love the product but save yourself some money and shop around!

Poor man Rich wine

This aerator does improve the taste of red wines. I like red wine but this device does take out more of the bite you can get with expensive or cheap red wine. We use it every day.

this product REALLY improves that bottle of 'just opened wine'. we did a taste test and the difference was definite. it is solid and comes with a stand so it also looks good sitting out with the wine.

Unique Gift

After learning about this aerator in a restaurant that used one tableside, we knew we had to find one! It is amazing to pour a glass of red wine through the aerator, and it immediately tastes like it has breathed for 10 minutes.
After enjoying one at home, I purchased another for our vacation home, and then another one for my father in law for his birthday. He mentioned that he likes Cabernet Sauvignon, but can't find a good one. I asked him if he drinks it right after pouring...he replied "yes" so I gave him a mini-lesson in letting wine breathe to open and develop flavor. Vinturi Red Wine Aerator Rules!

I tried the Vinturi Red Wine Aerator on a "bargain" Merlot, a bargain Cabernet Sauvignon, and a low priced Malbec. Each bottle was lifted at least two notches. I'm not going to say that they were equal to a $50 bottle, but each was much more drinkable; the Malbec was impressive after being aerated with the Vinturi. I think I will more than recover the purchase price in the compliments I will receive on the "delicious" wines I serve my guests. And, no one will ever guess the price of these delicious wines!

Great device for a glass of wine!

I ordered the aerator for my husband's anniversary gift - Boy, was he happy! We have a decanter for aerating an entire bottle of wine, but the individual aerator works GREAT! Glad I found it!

Met expectations

The product met my expectations. There was noticeable improvement in the taste of wine after using the aerator compared to without the aerator. The packaging is attractive also the storage kit.

It Really Works!

Getting a red wine to breath and open up sometimes can take a bit of time. So, just like everything else we do today, we want it YESTERDAY! But does this thing really work? The answer is "Yes!" Don't believe it? Open a bottle of red wine. Immediately pour some into a glass and taste it. Yep, needs to open! Now immeditaely pur some throught the Vinturi Wine Aerator and try it again. AMAZING! Not as good as the instant diet pill that immediately has me losing 10 pounds and getting immediately into excellent physical condition (want this next on Cooking.com!) but it DOES make the wine instantly drinkable!

Wine aerator

This product works quite well. My wife and I did a side by side taste test comparing wine poured through it to wine that was allowed to breath for three hours. I was amazed. While not quite as good as the "three hour wine", it's results were excellent. While I still prefer wine that has been allowed to breath, this product will undoubtedly be used many times when we decide to open a bottle on the spur of the moment. The price is rather steep considering what it is. There are no moving parts or machenery and I think they could produce it less expensivly, but if you like good wine, I guess it's worth it.

I purchased 2 of these as gifts for my wine drinking friends. they love it. you don't need to break the bank to give a perfect gift. If you know someone who drinks wine, this would be the perfect gift.
