I always wondered how to keep fresh butter on the counter top, now I know. It is absolutely wonderful!

Handy butter keeper; terrific price

I was introduced to the concept of the water-sealed butter keeper in the gourmet cooking store at the mall. My first butter keeper cost about three times as much, and the only difference is the color! This is a terrific bargain, and I also picked one up for a gift.

We love having our butter kept spreadable and fresh at room temperature.

this was a gift for my parents. they love it, it keeps the butter soft and fresh and the water slides right off the butter when you lift the lid out.

The price was too good to be true. It doesn't work well in humid KY even though we run A/C all the time. The butter is too soft, and it tends to have some pieces fall off in the water. Also - the lid inverted is not quite big enough - nor would it go great on any table. Not a bad value overall - but not sure I'll keep it. May be in my next good will donation!

Definately keeps the butter soft and fresh.

The butter keeps sliding out of the holder and into the water, so I have to fish it out. We have air conditioning, but live in a warm climate. No one said anything about that.

Butter Keeper

This butter keeper was just what I have been looking for. It works great by keeping the butter fresh tasting yet soft and spreadable. It was also very reasonably priced. I will definately recommend it to others. Also shipping was very quick.

BUtter keeper is an excellent way of keeping butter soft and ready to use. The key secret to keeping the butter in it's container is do not fill the cup with too much water. You only need about about 1" of water in the bottom. Remember to change the water every couple of days to make sure your butter is kept fresh.

I have used one of these for years. My sister-in-law and niece had talked about not liking to use tub margarine so I purchased each one and both thought they were marvelous too. Neither one could believe how soft the butter stayed.

I am returning these butter keepers. When placing the butter into the keeper, it is suggested to put a little water on the bottom of the other jar. When you then close it, the butter falls out into the water. Unfortunately, I spent $11 on shipping and cannot get that back. A waste of $11.

Exactly what we were looking for!

This porcelain butter keeper was exactly what we were looking for to keep soft, spreadable butter. Some of the other reviewers complained of their butter falling into the water, however, my assumption is that they didn't smoosh the butter up into it. After I put the butter in the dish, I used a spoon to push it nice and securely into it. No falling butter here! We've had it a few weeks now and love it!

Works!

I first saw this gadget at a friend's house. It really does work. You need to pack the butter in, and don't use more than an inch of water, but I've never had the butter fall out. I highly recommend this if you like real butter.

My kids like to fix their own breakfast and this is great for that - it is easy to get the butter out and it stays soft while also being fresh.

Convenient Butter Keeper

This butter keeper is a great way to keep butter soft and yet fresh. You do have to remember to change the water every couple of days.

THE BUTTER KEEPER IS THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. I AM GOING TO ORDER FOUR MORE FOR MY KIDS. THEY CAME SO WELL PACKED, I REALLY APPRECIATED THAT.

Great gift

I have had one of these for about a year and love it. My mother mentioned she was having a hard time gripping the lid of her butter dish, so I got one for her and it is perfect! Very easy for her to grip. I also got one for my sister, who loves butter but lives in a warm region so now she doesn't have to keep her butter in the fridge all the time. They were both very happy with their gifts.

Best Butter Keeper

This is a great butter keeper, and is one of the most reasonably priced ones out there. The butter stays soft for many days, and always tastes fresh. No odors or "off" taste. Highly recommended. I am going to order a second one, as we go through a lot of butter.

I do wish that they would make a larger one, though, that help 2 sticks (1/2 pound) of butter!

Excellent butter keeper

This is my second Norpro Butter Keeper. I keep one charged and in the fridge so I always have a backup when the butter keeper on the table gets low. Norpro is a great value.
