Great cooking tool!

We're of Hungarian descent and my son, daughter and I all regularly make chicken paprikash with dumplings. The old way was to chip the batter off the side of a bowl into hot water. When making a big batch, this gets tedius and the dumplings keep getting bigger. I bought a circular spaetzle maker, and although it made the job easier, it was so hard to clean that it ended up being the same amount of work. This sapetzle maker is easy to use, makes adorable little dumplings in no time (even triple batches) and cleans up effortlessly. I bought one and then bought two more for my kids. At this price, you should give it a try.

It is impossible to make spaetzle without this tool. As a native Hungarian, now a citizen of this country, grew up on noodles shaped like spaetzle, thanks to the internet, I was able to find you. Now I can have my goulash with spaetzle (in German) dumplings (in America) nokedli (in Hungary)

I purchased this as it seemed to be a less expensive alternative to a food mill.. I guess its true "you get what you pay for".. the first one arrived bent and unusable as it would stick in the track.. Cooking.com sent another right away.. while this one is better I dont think this is nearly as good for spaetzel as a food mill, at least for me.

This product works as advertised, making smaller sized dumplings (spaetzle) with ease and little mess. Easily fits over most large pots, resting at the top, which allows use of that second hand for adding more mixture when necessary. The dumplings are perfect for traditional meals like chicken paprikas.

GREAT spaetzle maker!

We made perfect spaetzle the very first time following recipe #1 on the back of the box. One tip is to start with regular beaters in your blender, then switch to dough hooks after adding the flour. This is a very fun dish for the kids to help make.

Cleanup is so easy, just slide off the dough holder and put both pieces in the dishwasher.

This is a relatively heavy-duty unit that should last forever with just a little bit of care.

I have used this before, my step daugther had one where her husbands grandmother had given her. Her husband is Polish and she is learning how to cook polish dishes and she has taught me. I enjoy using it, it is just messy to clean up but a very useful thing to use making noodles.

Great product. Works with ease. Prior to this purchase I laborioulsy spooned the spaetzle batter into hot boiling water by teaspoonfuls. This gadget makes the process complete in 5 minutes.

I was excited to see how great this works.
Before I was pushing the pasta through a regular strainer ... this was soooo much quicker!!

The product itself is okay, but the basket is in the way. W/o the basket, grating is easy; with the basket, grating is might nigh impossible. W/o it, even processed cheese is easy.

Being Austrian I make Spaetzle quite often, and this Spaetzle Maker is such an improvement over my last!
Since it is Stainless Steel it didn't rust the first time I washed it, it glides easily and smoothely, and as the handel is integrated it can't melt like my last one when I put it on a good size pot!

I saw someone using one of these pasta makers on TV and just had to have one.

I have three young grandchildren and they have so much fun helping me make the batter and then using the Spaetzle maker to cut it into the saucepan.
