Does not pour well

Looks nice. Serves the purpose of holding grease. However, it does not pour well at all. It simply makes a big mess and runs down the side. At least it looks nicer than what I had previously.

This is a hard to find item and I was extremely pleased to find one. I like the spout and fine mesh strainer on this model better than my older model which did not have a spout and made it hard to pour from.

This item is hard to find in these days of hyper-health nuts frightening people about the 'evil' of fats. But for transplanted southerners like me, the addition of a teaspoon of 'bacon grease' to a pot of beans or just to grease a skillet is essential. For years my mom and grandmother kept a grease keeper on the top of the stove (when stoves had that little fold out shelf above the burners) to collect the 'bacon drippin's.' Now years later, I finally have one on my stove... miss that little shelf though.

Hard to find a old fashion grease keeper. Great value and quality for the money. Love you can even melt grease on stove in same container. I like the removable strainer too. This is a hard to find product even with the power of the internet... I went ahead and ordered 2 and already using both :)

I have been looking for something like this, they are impossible to find. I remember the one from the top of the stove that my mother used. This was for my husband. He usually cuts the top off of a soda can and uses that to deposit bacon grease (he's the Sunday morning breakfast cook). At first, he laughed. He couldn't understand why I would give him anything for the kitchen. Christmas morning he was happly using it, saying that he really liked it, especially the screen.
It is well made. I would have liked it a little smaller.

Really like the grease keeper. It was bigger than I had thought it would be but that makes it even better. I really like the screen to catch all the pieces when pouring the grease into the container. The was exactally what I was looking for and the appearance is even better than I expected.

I have been looking for this type of dripping keeper for a long time. I have tried many things for this purpose, but always remember the drippings keeper my mother and grandmother had on their stoves. When I saw it in a magazine delivered by mistake at my office, I ordered quickly. And, I ordered 2 just in case.

Fryer's Friend Grease Keeper does a wonderful job of filtering bacon fat and leaving a beautiful clean grease in the keeper. It's convenient for reheating too. Everyone should fry a chicken in some bacon fat!

I have been looking for a grease keeper for a long time. It is a little big but now it will hold a lot of grease which I had been keeping in a plastic container. The mesh strainer is great for getting all of the unwanted grease drippings. I am very pleased with the grease keeper and certainly recommend it as it is great.

i found the container to be very thin material wise.
also when u want to pour grease out the top and strainer falls out. i'd say it was a safety hazzard and cost too much.

THE STRAINER IS GREAT, THE SIZE IS GREAT, BUT I DON'T LIKE THE WAY THE LID FITS. IT JUST LAYS ON TOP.

This was a gift and was exactly what she wanted.

It's too big. I would have prefered something a little smaller, easier to handle.

Almost perfect

If the lid fit a little tighter without the screen, it would be perfect. The use of the screen should, ideally, be optional. I suspect that most will find this product excellent. We've been looking for something like this for over twenty years.

But it took FOREVER to arrive....!

I would like for it to have had a larger capacity, but I think it will do.
