The next time that craving for eggs Benedict or corned beef hash suddenly strikes, you'll be glad you added this Demeyere 4-c. Resto Nonstick Egg Poacher to your collection of cookware. Poaching eggs in a traditional sauce pan can be a pain; even if you manage to crack the egg perfectly and get it into the gently boiling water without breaking the yoke, it's difficult to keep the whites intact and to remove the egg in one, pretty piece. The Demeyere Egg Poacher solved those potential pitfalls by creating an ingenious stainless steel insert that holds 4 detachable nonstick egg-poaching cups. Simple heat water to a slow roll in the sauté pan, drop in the insert, break one egg into each cup and replace the lid. As soon as peer through the tempered glass lid and see that the egg whites have turned slightly opaque, remove the cover and retrieve your perfectly cooked eggs. The sauté pan itself is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a ¼-inch aluminum core and five-layer base for the ultimate in durable construction and efficient, even heat distribution. Between poachings, the sauté pan can be used to warm butter for your eggs Benedict's hollandaise sauce or for a variety of other stovetop uses.

Best Used For:

This pan's primary purpose is for poaching eggs. By removing the poaching insert and egg cups, the sauté pan itself can be used for creating sauces, reheating soups, melting butter and a variety of other small-volume tasks.

  • At first glance I thought the product was a bit over priced, but after the first use, I can heartily recommend it. This poacher is definitely worth every penny. The Demeyere is very well constructed and a snap to clean. The eggs have been perfect every time and I can also rate the recipes in the accompanying cookbook top notch. You'll enjoy this product.

  • Overall...Good Quality

Even though it's nonstick, you still have to use "spray" or butter to coat surface to easily get out poached eggs. You'll need to purchase silicone spatulas to do that, so you don't scratch surface of poacher. Overall, I would buy again.

    I recommend this product.

  • Best Egg Poacher, Easy to clean

I love this egg poacher! The eggs are beautiful and delicious. It may take a few times to figure out how long to cook the eggs and at what temperature, but the glass lid helps you to see how they are coming along. I use heat resistant gloves to remove the insert and the individual cups. I always spray the cups before putting the eggs in and I always soak everything in hot soap water while we are eating breakfast. It takes less than 5 minutes to wash and dry by hand, and the poacher looks beautiful, all ready for tomorrow. I have never put it in the dishwasher as I don't need to run it everyday.

  • Likes poached eggs

This product is excellent. Makes perfect eggs everytime and they are easily removed from the containers. Containers are also removeable for cleaning. All stainless steel construction. The only thing I didn't like is that the ad and the write up about the product as well as the labeling lead you to believe it's made in Belgium. It's not...China! Even when you call the manufacturer, they say Belgium. When you open the box. the "Made In China" label is stuck to the pan! Phoey! Shame on them.

  • It poaches eggs alright!

This is my first egg poacher. I chose this one because of the reviews it received. It poaches eggs alright. But it is quite heavy to maneuver for someone with CTS!

  • Very nice poacher

I've used it twice already and love the way my eggs turn out. I do use a drop of olive oil to coat the little egg pans and the eggs turn out flawlessly after they've cooled a few seconds. I find that if you use a paper towel to turn the little pan handles to the outer edge where they stick out of the pan, they cool quickly making them easy to handle. Definitely pleased with my purchase.

  • i purchased the Demeyere 7 inch egg poacher for myself initially and was more than pleased with the product. if you enjoy poached eggs, stop looking any further -this is what your looking for. i'm a decent cook but have failed at making a good poached egg for thirty years! the quality of the product as well as the outcome of the eggs is outstanding. i bought a second and shipped it to my daughter in north carolina, she is equally as pleased. can't beat this item!

  • AT LAST - A EGG POACHER YOU CAN AFFORD

I LOVE EGGS BENEDICT and poached eggs. I have been looking for years to find a GOOD poacher that was both economical but also offered FOUR egg cups instead of three. This poacher is affordable and cooks your eggs perfectly.

  • Best Egg Poacher Ever

We haven't had poached eggs in years. We visited some friends and had poached eggs for dinner. It was scrumptious. When we got home, I looked for an egg poacher and decided to check out the Foodnetwork Store. We found this egg poacher. When it arrived we had poached eggs for dinner. This poacher poaches eggs perfectly. The individual cups are easy to clean. The best part is you can make as many as you want. I'd highly recommend this to everyone.

  • Product quality for the price

This poacher replaces another poacher which was bought in a super market for &15.00,you might think quite a difference in price. When you compare the two products the quality of your poacher is tremendous & by far a greater value. My replaced poacher is a single piece of metal with 4 indentations, not large enough to contain any but the smallest eggs, spilling much of a larger egg into the water.Your poacher is a 7 piece set Of far greater quality,&value.I am completely happy with your product& would highly recommend it to anyone. Your very well satisfied customer, AL MANFREDI

  • Dandy little egg poacher!

This egg poacher is just what we were looking for. Others we have had only held 3 eggs. This way we can make two apiece in one cooking. The glass cover is a plus because you can visually monitor the cooking progress. It is a very quality item.

This is a great little egg poaching pan/saucepan by Demeyere. It's a quality pan that is easy to clean-up and use. Used it for the first time to make brunch for 4 last weekend, and the brunch (as well as the pan) was a hit! Thanks, FNS, for a great little price on this great little unit.
