The next time that craving for eggs Benedict or corned beef hash suddenly strikes, you'll be glad you added this Demeyere 4-c. Resto Nonstick Egg Poacher to your collection of cookware. Poaching eggs in a traditional sauce pan can be a pain; even if you manage to crack the egg perfectly and get it into the gently boiling water without breaking the yoke, it's difficult to keep the whites intact and to remove the egg in one, pretty piece. The Demeyere Egg Poacher solved those potential pitfalls by creating an ingenious stainless steel insert that holds 4 detachable nonstick egg-poaching cups. Simple heat water to a slow roll in the sauté pan, drop in the insert, break one egg into each cup and replace the lid. As soon as peer through the tempered glass lid and see that the egg whites have turned slightly opaque, remove the cover and retrieve your perfectly cooked eggs. The sauté pan itself is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a ¼-inch aluminum core and five-layer base for the ultimate in durable construction and efficient, even heat distribution. Between poachings, the sauté pan can be used to warm butter for your eggs Benedict's hollandaise sauce or for a variety of other stovetop uses.
Best Used For:
This pan's primary purpose is for poaching eggs. By removing the poaching insert and egg cups, the sauté pan itself can be used for creating sauces, reheating soups, melting butter and a variety of other small-volume tasks.

At first glance I thought the product was a bit over priced, but after the first use, I can heartily recommend it. This poacher is definitely worth every penny. The Demeyere is very well constructed and a snap to clean. The eggs have been perfect every time and I can also rate the recipes in the accompanying cookbook top notch. You'll enjoy this product.

I like the product. Since the tray with the cups becomes very hot, it would be good if some device was included to lift the tray with the cups by hooking on to the tray. It's difficult and awkward to use a pot holder to do this.
This poacher cooks perfect eggs in 4 minutes, is easy to clean, is extremely well made and works well as a sauce pan because the bottom of the pan is so thick. It is now rare for our family to have any other style of egg for breakfast in the morning. Low fat also!!!
Great product, finely crafted using the highest quality metal and glass. 4-separate egg cups are lined with non-stick material and glass lid with steam vent lets you easily see the cooking process. Handle stays cool during cooking. Easy clean-up. Outstanding product, I would purchase it again.
This is a very solidly-constructed egg poacher. The pan itself is of heavy stainless steel, with a solidly attached handle; the steel-rimmed glass lid fits well and has a grommeted steam vent. The clean, functional design looks good on the stovetop, and the glass lid lets you monitor your eggs without lifting the lid. The egg cups are on the small-and-deep side compared to some others I've seen, which is a bit of a drawback if you're cooking eggs to make eggs Benedict, but the non-stick coating works very well. (A light wipe with a smear of butter is still recommended, though. Eggs love to stick.) The wire handles on the egg cups are very substantial, two or three times as thick as the thin wire frequently used on cheap pans. The one slight negative is that the handles sit flat on the surface of the pan when in use, so you can't just take hold of one to lift an egg cup out, you have to use a knife or spatula to lift the end of the handle so that you can get a grip on it.
Even with that negative, I'd recommend this egg poacher over any other I've used in the US.
Overall this product is good. Nice to have the clear top and the hole for escaping steam. Nice to be able to lift the cups away from the pan all together and easy to get the cups out. The only drawback is that the eggs stuck to the cups. Thought they were non-stick. Next time we'll use Pam before putting the eggs in the cups.
This egg poacher is WONDERFUL. It has a heavy flat bottom which is perfect for my radiant cooktop surface. It has large cups which hold large eggs without spilling. The glass cover allows one to watch the process and stop cooking at just
the "right point"
This egg poacher is a little more expensive than the others on the market, but if you want your eggs poached perfectly (and you don't want to struggle to get them out of the cups), this is the one for you!
