The 4-in. Paring Knife is manufactured with one solid piece of high-carbon German steel (X50CrMoV15) and is heat-treated to stay sharp longer. The high HRC (Rockwell hardness scale) of 56 allows the edge to maintain sharpness with minimal maintenance. The blade is seamlessly molded to the composite handle with a unique partially exposed full tang and finished with a solid polished star and end cap. It is precision balanced for it's task.

I have a Knuckle Sandwich paring knife (red) that was purchased a coue of years ago. It is a better qualiry product. Heavier and seems better balanced.
