I bought the morter and pestel for my daughter-in-law and she was absolutely delighted with it.

The size of this mortar is just perfect for small quantities of spices. I think anything smaller would be more of a toy than a useful kitchen tool. The pestle could have been made an inch longer for a better fin in my hand, but it works fine just the same.

I bought the mortar not for cooking purposes but to grind up pills finely enough so that we could fool our aging sick cat and get the needed medication down her. Pills were an anathma. It worked perfectly and eventually, it will become me garlic crusher. For the time being, it is literally a life saver.

GREAT PRODUCT/OVERPRICED

I love the product but it was a bit on the pricey side. The color is the key; white marble mortar and pestle are much pricier than the green marble mortar and pestle. The product is great for mixing herbs from my herb garden. I am pleased with the article. I just had to have the white color.

a must for every kitchen

I bought it for the looks...but now use it all the time. Really refreshes older spices and saves me money! I can also mix herbs together for a rub or whatever.
Marble is heavy and easy to use.

Marble Mortar and Pestle

This mortar & pestle is excellent. It is just the right size and weight and makes grinding and mashing ingredients so easy to do. I would recommend this item for anyone who cooks!

Great Value

I find it great for crushing things like juniper berries for recipes, or just bringing compacted cooking spices back to life.

Although I haven't had cause to use the Mortar and Pestle yet, I just love the way it looks on my kitchen counter. I'm pretty certain I will not be disappointed when I do get the opportunity to use this.

The more I use this the more I like it. Plus I have found many many new uses for it.

This is by far one of the best things I have ever purchased. I take care of a man with a feeding tube and his medication has to be crushed to put it in the tube and the martar and pestle does an awesome job and crushing it all up pretty fine so it dissolves in the water and we can put it in the tube, I am so happy with this purchase.

Love this product too. I use alot of Rosemary and I can use this product to make a powder out of my spices. Then the spice is easily coated on meat and other foods.

In the past, I have purchased at least two very unsatisfactory products that were impossible to use because they were too smooth inside. This one is absolutely PERFECT: a good weight and circumference. The pestle has a roughness that allows it to pulverize any seeds without slipping off and flipping them out of the bowl. It was a very good decision to purchase this one from Cooking.com.
