Trying to get away from plastic food storage containers, the 4-bowl glass storage set by Bormioli is a beautiful alternative. Each bowl can go from refrigerator to table as an attractive serving piece. Recommended for use by adults only as they are heavy glass and the containers must not be subjected to sudden temperature changes. Perfect for my purposes. I love all my Bormioli glassware.

Excellent price for a set of 4 glass storage bowls. Best of all, the glass and the lids of superior quality, made in Italy. This is my second set. The lids from the first set are virtually stain-free after several months. Just one caution, as usual, do not close the lid tight when using in microwave.

A very handy set of bowls with a good selection of sizes. I find many uses for them and will probably be ordering more sets.

I love these, even came back to order another set. The glass is thick and durable, and so much better than plastic containers that pit, stain and warp. The frosty white covers go with any kitchen decor, and are very thick, not flimsy. The bowls look nice on the table, and the smaller ones could even be used for soup, salad and cereal. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with a few more sets.

These are excellent storage bowls. They keep food fresh as well as keeping leftover food smells out of your refridgerator. They are sturdy glass which is what I prefer to use over plastic. The lid, however, is plastic creating a tight seal.

Great cleanup and versatile! The clear storage container allows for quick selection when grabbing from the fridge for leftovers.

Glass Storage Is the Way to Go

As I become more aware of the problems associated with plastic storage, I am moving to glass. These Italian storage jars are excellent and more reasonably priced than they Pyrex equivalents which are no better.

Perfect for cooking as well as storage

I purchased this set to use the large bowl to prepare yogurt in a yogurt maker that was supplied with those tiny jars. The yogurt is a vital entity in my required SCD diet so I make it a couple times each week. I had plastic containers available but was concerned about the safety of using them in hot applications, so these containers, which are heavy glass and easily microwaveable (and most likely oven proof as well) were perfect. And to have a top that fits right on when my yogurt is done is perfect, of course. I know this set will be much used, and is extremely durable.

These are Awesome! The glass is very thick, and the lids fit perfectly. I don't think that I'll every buy plastic again.

I love these storage containers. They are glass and thus much better for your health. And they are not TOO heavy, they're a pretty good weight. I just wish Cooking.com would sell the smaller sizes individually, because I would like more of them and there are just so many large ones that I can use.
