The Kulinary Series knives are each manufactured with one solid piece of high-carbon German steel (X50CrMoV15) and heat-treated to stay sharp longer. The high HRC (Rockwell hardness scale) of 56 allows the edge to maintain sharpness with less maintenance. The blade is seemlessly molded to the composite handle with a unique partially exposed full tang and finished with a solid polished star and end cap. The Kulinary series are stamped knives. It is precision balanced for it's task.

Nice knives. Had to get use to the wider blades. The bread knife went through a frozen tube of pork sausage like warm butter, Just one stroke. I bought two sets for my kids.

I bought this set for the bread knife. I was going to purchase the bread knife alone but it was such a great bargain I got the whole set. All knives are beautifully made and heavier than I thought they would be. I am very happy that I got the whole set; now I can throw away knives that have just been getting me by.

Love these new knifes, they were actually for my "guy" who loves a good knife. This fits the bill!! Great price, free shipping and knife guards- it was a steal!!

Almost gave 2 stars for the handle shapes, but the blades are too inferior. After having them sharpened professionally 3 were still dull enough that I gave the set away (the serrated sharpened acceptably, but not great). It's a shame that Guy has chosen to tarnish his reputation with this product.
