Photo misleading

Nothing wrong with the pan itself. The lid has a knotch in it for the handle of the fry basket. When i looked at the photo, I thought the black on the right hand side of the lid was a reflection of the handle [like the black stripe down the side in the image] not an actual cutout. I didn't need the fry capability, just a normal saucepan so I sent it back.

Excellent sauce pot even though it doesn't have a riveted handle.Not too heavy to lift.

I have been looking for a pan that can withstand frying in it and this is it. This works great for frying fish and french fries. The lid keeps the grease from flying everywhere. The clean up is so easy and the pan is great for soups also.
