    GREAT SAUCE PAN

    by REGINA, SC
    November 2, 2010

When I purchased this sauce pan I didn't realize it had 2 pouring spouts. So, I was quite pleased to have that added convenience. Also, I like the glass lid so I can see what is cooking in the pot. Great purchase!

    Great pot with strainer

    by Danetta, MD
    February 9, 2012

One problem always had with cooking pasta was draining the water off and this pot top solves the problem. The top has built in strainer slots on two sides and the pot has two pour spouts. Easy way to drain or strain now.

This is a good product. I was disappointed that it was not a tight seal. I thought you would be able to turn the lid to strain and still use the pot for rice. Not the case.

Excellent pot. I really wanted a 3 quart pan; but could not find one that was not much more in price than this 4 quart one. I'm satisfied.

This is a perfect pot. I looked everywhere for a pot of this size and finally found it on cooking.com.
I've been using it for boiling potatoes, noodles, steaming vegetables, rice, and soups. Nothing sticks to it and it's very easy to clean. The handles are comfortable and they don't get hot. Overall, I would say that this is a wonderful product.

    Affordable quality

    by Beth, TN
    November 17, 2012

I've landed on Simply Calphalon as my prefered cookware brand - it gets me the quality I desire at a price I can afford. This pan is the newest addition to my collection. Overall, it's a great pan, and the design idea is a good one. My one reservation with the idea of a lid that can also serve to strain the contents is that with a pan this size, you really do need to hold it with both hands - which means securing the lid for draining becomes a bit of a challenge, ideally requiring a third hand. I think the work-around will be to use hot pads for each hand, and use both thumbs to hold the lid in place while the other fingers hold the handles. Additionally, because of the drain spouts on the pan and the way the lid fits into the pan, you don't get quite the "seal" on the pan you would with a more traditional design.

    Best Multi Purpose Pan Yet

    by MArk, TX
    March 15, 2011

Tried many different products on the Network and this is the best multi-purpose pan for the dollar. It's not just for pasta and sauces, but works great for soup stock - just add one layer of cheese cloth and straining stock becomes super easy!

This pan is well made and heavy which aids in even cooking. The lid strainer works well without running down the side of the pan. The handles do not get hot and are easy to grip. Overall one of the best pans I've ever used.
