Aspargus went thru the bottom and sides of the strainer when I lifted it out.

A great asparagus steamer - and worked very well as an emergency canner for a quart jar which didn't fit my main canner!!

Honestly, I don't see myself ever making asparagus in this pot. But, it's the perfect size for making a pot of competition chili. It holds the right amount for judging, has a heavy bottom, and doesn't take up much room on the Coleman Stove...Enjoy!
