I have always wanted to have an asparagus steamer, but never got around to purchasing one until just recently. What a delight to have perfectly steamed asparagus that are nice and straight and unbroken! The steamer works wonderfully! It is very solidly constructed, by which I mean it is made of a heavy stainless steel. The basket is sturdy, and has convenient handles to lift it out of the pot when the veggies are done.
I'm wondering if I can use the steamer to steam fresh corn!! I'm going to try that sometime.
