Great espresso!
This is our third espresso machine and the best so far. The espresso comes out perfect. We have used the pods and ground espresso- both methods work great! I am enjoying making espresso with this machine!

1 of 1 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »I had read other reviews about this espresso machine before making my purchase. I could not believe the reviews it had received after my two day experience of trying to achieve a single decent shot of espresso with this beast. First of all, the cup area is so small that only dimitasse cups or the smallest of coffee cups would fit underneath it. Certainly not anything that would hold espresso AND frothed milk. Next, the frothing arm is so close to the body of the machine that you can barely get a frothing cup under it, and there is NO room to move the cup around to make the froth. I used a thermometer and at the recommended temperature, milk was still runny and froth was only something I dreamed of. Then, I wasted an entire bag of expensive coffee beans I bought at the local store that roasts and grinds them, adjusting grinds, tampings and banging my head against the wall. It never made anything a human would want to consume, nor was there anything I would even remotely consider as crema that came out of the belly of the beast. So after two days of this nonsense, I make the decision to send it back. So I spend another hour trying to stuff all the parts back inside the package and wrestling it back in the box. Ahhh. I had achieved victory, or so I thought, as the beast was crated and ready to go away and leave me in peace. So I get in my car and drive to the UPS (one of the required shippers on their return sheet) to find out that it is going to cost me another $44.00 in freight (on top of the $19.00 I had already paid in freight for the pleasure of the experience I just described) to get rid of the thing, and this was regular price, not over night! So I paid the $44.00, went home and went to the trash and pulled out my old $50.00 Mr. Coffee espresso maker and put some of the last remains of coffee in the house that the beast didn't devour into my old friend, plugged it in, and low and behold if I didn't have a tolerable cup of espresso, with crema on top of it in about fifteen minutes . . .Oh, and it also had nice, thick, foamy steamed milk on top . . . Now I realize this isn't really good espresso, but it was so far above anything I managed to get from the bowels of this other thing that I just felt really silly for having the experience. Quoth the Raven "Never More!"
