This original version of the Ammonite design by Robert Welch for Cambridge Silversmiths is forged from thick stainless steel sheets. Each polished piece has the Ammonite motif stamped on its handle. Spoons and forks are made from 18/0 stainless steel and the knives are forged from a single ingot of especially hardened stainless steel that maintains a cutting edge.

The stores stopped carrying this flatware right after I bought it and I was happy to find it on Epicurious so I could add pieces.

I bought this flatware many years ago at an expensive department store...it looks new today. I have looked to add more to the amount everywhere...but could not find it anywhere. I am so happy to have such a nice flatware for everyday use and buffet parties......
