This Cambridge Silversmiths 45-piece Flatware Set is both functional and beautiful. The comforting weight and balance of these utensils make dining a pleasure, and the mirror finish resists tarnish and spotting. Each fork and spoon in this service for eight is forged from sheets of heavy-weight 18/10 stainless steel for long-lasting shine and durability. The knives are forged from a single ingot of specially hardened stainless steel, and unlike standard table knives these hold a proper cutting edge. This stainless steel flatware set was crafted by award-winning cutlery designer Robert Welch, who earned the title of Royal Designer for Industry for his industrial designs. The illustrious craftsman’s creations are on display in museums worldwide, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in Copenhagen and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Inspired by the beauty of the Ammonite fossil, this design mimics that natural spiral in the logo stamped into the handle of each dishwasher-safe piece. Elegant without being stuffy, this 45-piece Cambridge Silversmiths flatware set combines a modern aesthetic with classical design elements for an enduring addition to your table.
Service for eight includes: 8-inch dinner forks, 9.75-inch dinner knives, 7.5-inch soup spoons, 6.75-inch salad forks, 6.25-inch teaspoons

I bought this flatware many years ago at an expensive department store...it looks new today. I have looked to add more to the amount everywhere...but could not find it anywhere. I am so happy to have such a nice flatware for everyday use and buffet parties......
When my daughter moved out with her family, they had literally nothing to populate their home. So I donated tons of stuff to them, and bought new for us! My wife and I had always had hand-me-downs and yard sale silverware. But this time, I decided to buy the best.
The silverware feels solid in your hand, is glossy from tip to handle, and has a fresh, sleek design. We love it. I bought two sets so we'd have plenty when the whole family came for dinners, and I haven't looked back.
Nice flatware....the spoons and knives are a little "weighty" but not bad ..lenth is good .not to long like most of the flatware now(dont know why Co.s are doing that)...nice clean silvery shine to these also...extra serving pcs. are good size also
This purchase was a second set to go with the one I have already. I love this flatware. I love it. I love opening the drawer and pulling out a piece. They have a good weight to them and they stay shiny and are a great size. I've had the first set for a few years now and I can't tell the difference between the two sets. Buy them!
I have had this flatware for 20 years! I just bought more of them. The flatware is quite attractive as well as long lasting! I bought some more of the set just to have extras of all its pieces. The weight of the spoons is especially wonderful. It is on the "heavy" side so it feels wonderful when using them. I highly recommend the flatware!
I love incorporating circles or spirals into the house decorating. The silver flatware is a most unusual find and I am looking forward to intertaining now. I am interested in hearing comments from guests. I don't know how well it will wear yet, but I plan to hand wash the silver, just in case. I plan to order more in the future.
This is my second set of this flatware. Even though it is just my husband and I we don't run the dishwasher every day and would run out of spoons. And, of course, everyone needs two sets of flatware for when company comes! I love the simplicity of the design and the weight of the individual pieces is perfect (although some reviewers think they are on the heavy side). I think they may have gone up $20 or so since my first purchase, but they are well worth the cost and I hope they are the last flatware that I have to buy.
This flatware set is attractive and obviously high quality. My only problem is that the pieces are unusually large and heavy, with much of the weight in the handles. They do not work well with small diameter and or shallow bowls and plates (of which I have quite a few) because they tend to fall/flip out if you rest a fork or serving spoon in the bowl or plate. But I'm getting used to just using the salad forks and teaspoons on a daily basis, and being very careful where I rest the knives, which are huge. However, many people would like the size and weight of this set.
I shopped and shopped, online and in department stores, for a flatware pattern that I liked. I'm VERY picky. As soon as I saw it on cooking.com (and I never saw it in a department store) I knew my searching was over! With all the other great reviews on this product I knew that the quality would be great. They came with a 25 year warranty!! They are the right size, right weight, and unique looking. Soon I will order a second set. I couldn't be more pleased and hope that this will be the last flatware I ever buy.
My friend had this flatware set a few years ago and I really liked the finish, design and weight of it. Other reviewers mentioned their set was made in Korea but the set I bought was manufactured in China. I noted that the edges were not as smooth as the set my friend had but the shine of the chrome finish and weight were still good.
I was having a little buyers remorse after I made my purchase......untill I I opened the box that is!! They are beautiful! I was shocked by how thick and strong they are. I compaited them to my old set and it looked like it was made from a soda can compaired to my wonderful new set! Worth every penny!!!!!! Thank you for making such a great product!
