Mini Tart Shells

by Michael, CO

Product works very well for the intended purpose of creating mini-cranberry tarts. The fact of being pre-baked is quite an advantage for storing and using, though they are a bit more expensive than frozen raw shells.

Good in a pinch

I am in the kitchen a lot but if I'm short on time, these are good to keep handy. They can just be filled simply with a chocolate pudding and whipped cream on top or whatever you fancy. They are bit thicker than I'd like them to be, but if you need a dessert in a hurry, it is helpful to have.

Tartlets!

by LYSA, CA
May 24, 2012

I bought these tarts for the purpose of making quiches. Unfortunately, I was not able to fit too much quiche filling into it...the tarts are very shallow. I wish they had a bit more depth to it. I was only able to fit less than a tablespoon of filling into the tarts. On the other hand, they are wonderful for fruit tarts. I filled some with some lime curd and added some fresh fruits on top. They were great for bite size treats. I will not buy them for quiche again but will definitely buy them to fill with sweets. The tarts were more on the sweet side.

The tarts are delicious with any sweet or savory filling. My husband even ate them on their own.

Used the shells for lemon tarts. Was hit of the party.
Will buy them again. A little pricey, but overall it was worth the cost.

I liked these tart shells for a taste of dessert and we are enjoying them, but I wish I had purchased them in a larger style.

Mini tart shells

by Pam, FL

For convience these tart shells are the way to go. But only if it is a time constraint.
The shells are spendy, small and thick. I used them for key lime tarts and it honestly masked the taste a little since the bottoms were so thick. They were well packaged and arrived totally intact. We weigh our options and for me, my time and the amount of people serving it was and would be again... the way to go.

The shells are very shallow but were perfect for what I wanted them for. I filled them with caramel and melted chocolate on top.

these are so yummy - I make pumpkin tarts for our company holiday party, and several other holiday parties every year - wish they were more accessible though.

Great for mini lemon tarts

by Laurie, MN
January 22, 2013

Although they seem a bit pricey for what they are, they really are very good and I can't find anything else like it. (Short of making them myself.) One of my favorite desserts for a buffet is mini lemon curd tarts (topped with a raspberry for color), and these shells hold up and don't become soggy. My local upscale grocery store stopped selling them, so I had to go online.
