This is a great way to be sure the wood chips absorb the water or other liquid, rather than just float on top of the water.

Make meat smoking so much more easy

Used to soak my wood chips in a bowl and then fish them out with a sieve. What a mess. This keeps the chips contained and the lid allows me to drain the liquid and have the chips all in one container. So convenient!
