Great product priced too high

by Ellen, CT

Storage of food is healthy because there are no chemicals from plastic that touch the food. The glass lid fits nicely on the top, contrary to some of the reviews I read that made me nervous about ordering this product. And it just goes in the dishwasher - lid and container - and comes out perfectly clean and dry. My other storage containers required hand washing of the plastic tops and/or bottoms because the plastic elements do not dry; they puddle drops. So the glass containers are far easier, in addition to far healthier, for food storage. My only criticism is that the price seems too high for a simple glass container by Anchor Hocking.

Good Storage

by Linda, NC

I had only a few old glass storage containers and needed more once I stopped using my plastic storage. The reviews I read about these talked about lids that didn't fit well and containers that did not stack, but I have no problem with this. The lids do an adequate job (If I want airtight I'll have to go to some plastic seal, right?) and they don't jiggle or wobble. The dishes stack neatly upon each other (but not inside each other). Overall I'm happy with them. I think they are priced a tad high, but they seem to be the only game in town so that's what I had to pay. I bought two of the 2 cup and two of the 5 cup and am being served well with those four and the four I had from my mom's kitchen. I rated them as a 4 rather than a 5 because I like the design on the old ones better than the design on these. But overall, I'm pleased.

I use these containers for my lunch everyday. Yes, you have to be careful because they are breakable, but the larger size and easy cleanup make them much better than plastic. I did have one lid explode in the microwave, but Anchor Hocking sent me out three lids for replacements. Great service Anchor Hocking! These are great containers. I will definitely be buying more in the future.

Glass storage container

by JoAnne, WA

I was very pleased with this container. I bought my husband a cooler / heater chest for his truck. In the winter it's nice to have a hot meal. I was looking for a glass container with lid that would fit into this chest. This one does perfectly! now, he can heat something up and take it with him. I have always like glass containers, pans & bowls. If you're looking for a well made product that will last a long time I would recommend this.

all glass for me

Very nice container. I like the old fashioned pre-plastic feel. I'm a bit trepidatious about the glass to glass contact though, with the lid being 100% glass as well and no great way to make it secure other than the lip of the lid and how it fits a small bit into the container. I am trying to go 100% no plastic in my house as far as food is concerned so I like it, but the lid is pretty loose fitting.
