I checked the clearance of cooking.com and found the same one that my daughter had given me. When she bought it, the cost was 4 times the cost of the one I bought. I bought two of them and remembered that I needed to buy a third one. This was in a 5 minutes period.

The 'Gourmet' line is just a little thinner than my 'Classic' line of knives, but I only needed it to slice tomatoes. It does the job wonderfully; cannot resist cutting everything including bread with this great little knife. I also bought one as a gift, and the recipient is very pleased as well.

I got one to use on our boat and decided that I deserved to have one for home also. It really does slice through tomatoes like "butter". I can get the slices so thin that they are almost transparent. Love, love, love it!

I am so pleased. They are great quality, a nice weight, handles are well made and comfortable and most of all they work really well. I have been putting up tomatoes in my freezer and this knife has gotten a work out.
There is nothing worse than not being able to cut through the skin of a tomato, having it squish, ! This knife is perfect, cuts tomatoes with ease and precision-how ever you like them!!
