zwilling tomato knife :very high price

the zwilling tomato knife is a very good product with a relatively narrow serrated blade but the price is too high for what the knife does. neveretheless, the excellent workmanship and finish are worth mention here

This is a great medium sized all purpose fruit and veggie knife. It has good weight and balance and the serrated edge handles delicate cuts easily, i.e. tomatoes, etc. .

Great Knife, Bad Customer Service

I had this same knife and loved it. When we lost it I decided to order one for my husband for Father's Day. I paid extra to get it several days before the occassion. Instead I received a pan with a not in it ordered by someone else for their father on Father's Day. When I contacted Customer Service they said I had to take the pan to a UPS drop off and send it back and that my knife would arrive 3 days late. When I pointed out I had paid extra to get it in time for Father's Day they refunded my extra shipping cost and cut the delivery time down to just 2 days late. They said UPS would pick up the pan when they delivered the knife. I guess UPS didn't know because they just dropped the knife off and left. Several days later I had a different delivery from UPS and told them to take the pan. They didn't know anything about it but ended up taking the pan.

Perfect little knife

I am very happy with this sturdy little serrated knife. Slices tomatoes and skins mangoes with ease. I am sure I will have it for many years. Too small for bread slicing..

What a pleasure to slice tomatoes and other things that work well with a serrated knife so easily. This was a great addition to my knife collection.

I am familiar with Henckels products as I grew up in Solingen. I will purchase more items as long they are made in Germany and not in China.

The size of the 5 in. tomatoe knife is perfect for cutting tomatoes, and other small jobs as well! Great all round utencil!

Surprisingly good ...

While we have several Henckel blades, I was surprised to find the tomato knife to be as exactly useful as advertised. After all, a blade is a blade, yes? Well, not really. We grow a large garden of tomatoes and it's a pleasure to slice them easily and efficiently.

may seem extravagant, but....

it was fun to buy and say, I have a knife just for tomatoes! I checked around--I usually buy my knives from cutleryandmore.com, but they did not offer it, and since there was a sale on it--well, why not? Wustoff and Henckels make great knifes so I would never turn down a sale on their products. My only complaint is that I saw one of the chefs use a technique to remove the core by placing your thumb on the stem, and using that as your guide, put the knife in and rotate around it. The 5" knife is too long for this technique and a paring knife is the only one that will work. Of course, then, why would I use two knives to cut a tomato? Well, it is a luxury item, and it sliced my jersey tomatoes so easily....

The best tomato knife, possibly ever!

I used to struggle to cut extra thin, see thru, slices of tomatoes. Well not any more with this knife. I like to use really thin slices in my chicken parm. recipe and would take a decent amount of time with a serrated bread knife to slice enough. This knife does the same job in half the time. It's a great all purpose knife as well and you'll find yourself reaching for it often. Very well balanced and comfortable. This is probably the 4th or 5th tomato specific knife I've bought and I think I've found the best out there, my search ends here!

The blade of this knife could have been a "little thinner."
