I bought this set for the jar lifter, because I always have issues trying to handle the hot jars in and out of the waterbath. The funnel should come in very handy as well, especially for my tomatoes. Although it's already the end of this year's tomato and pickle canning season, I'm sure these will be very useful next year. I have not actually had a chance to use them, but they appear very sturdy, and well worth the price.
