I love my pasta dishes, and for a great sauce one needs the perfect pan. Emeril's 5-qt. saute pan is the perfect size for my needs at home. It is sturdy, not too heavy and the price was just right for my tight budget. oh, and it is perfect for sauteing too!

I really like this product: it's solid build, well balanced in hand and not too heavy. It browns meats well once you figure the right temperature. Cleaning was a snap! I have used Emeril's cast iron pan for a while. This is my first try with stainless steel and I am very happy with it. Plus the glass lid is awesome!

After having read about the difficulty cleaning stainless steel, I didn't know what to expect. I picked up some Barkeeper's Friend before I used the saute pan. The food did not stick, but the pan doesn't clean to perfection either. There are spots where the finish looks slightly different after use and cleaning (and I mean really cleaning). And when filled, the pan was a little heavy for me. On the positive side - the food cooked beautifully at medium to medium low heat and having transitioned from non-stick to stainless steel, I do love the idea of not eating invisible particles of the non-stick coating. For the price, I would recommend this product.
