Was trying to recreate one of those recipes you see on Saturday afternoon for a beef stew with a thick hearty gravy. Could not find a true Dutch oven anywhere. Three local 'box stores', no luck. Cooking.com sent an e-mail sale offer that same day. Heaven sent, I tell you. It made all the difference in the world in combining meat and vegetables in the same vessel. Gravy was manna from heaven! I will probably purchase a larger version in the future.

Wanted a healthier pot that doesn't have to be treated so carefully to hold up well. Just needs to be lightly cleaned, dried well, and coated inside with a little oil.
