It also makes an excellent tool to wipe the bowl clean when pouring finished batters and frostings from the bowl. It is the first and only coated metal flexible edge beater, and will last for many years.

This item would be ridiculously overpriced at its regular retail listing--on sale, it's not bad. It does the job...but be warned: ingredients tend to fly out of the bowl because of the scraper surface.So prepare for a mess....though the product will perform as described.

I had company coming today and used my mixer with my flex edge beater for the first time. I mixed up a cake from scratch and the beater took all of the work out of mixing the cake. No stopping and scraping down the sides with a spatula! I will definitely be recommending this product to others.

I inadvertently ordered the wrong size of this beater. I clicked on a link searching for items for the 6-qt. mixer and this item came up on the page. Assuming it was the correct one, I ordered it. Fortunately, my daughter has the mixer it fits, so she is the lucky recipient. I will be getting one to fit my mixer, though, as she is extremely pleased with how well it works, especially when making cookie dough.
