excellent knife

As with all Shun cutlery, this is well made and finely balanced. I had to adjust my technique a bit because this cleaver shape doesn't rock like a chef's knife. A very useful tool in my kitchen.

Excellent knife -- as you would expect

I've been adding to my wife's basic set of Shun Classic kinves over the past couple of years. Each new one was initially greated with "Why do I need another knife?" But each one has its place and each one perfoms beautifully. The nakiri was the most recent addition and it has become a regular, especially since we've adopted a more vegetarian diet and this knife is great for chopping coarser vegetables. The only drawback is that is is a bit heavy for prolonged use. I'm sure we will get accustomed to that the more we use it. All the Shun knives are great -- expensive, but well worth it.

Extremly sharp, best knife I have.

Beautifully crafted. Super sharp and a dream to use. We have a drawer of good knives and this one is one of the go-to favorites. Nothing does as well on vegetables. I would purchase more Shun knives, based on this experience.
