Use the Wusthof 6.5-in. Tools Offset/Slotted Spatula to lift, flip and toss everything from pancakes to burgers. This spatula has a long, narrow blade that was designed to accommodate delicate fish fillets, but you'll find it perfect for use on a variety of foods. The front edge of the blade is slightly sharpened to help lift foods off of your grill, fry pan or broiler pan cleanly and easily, unlike blunt-edged spatulas that can wreak havoc on your pancakes and fried eggs. Three long, narrow slots run the length of the spatula's blade that allow any fat, grease or oils to drip off and stay in the pan instead of on your food, allowing you to serve healthier meals to your family. Wusthof has been in the business of manufacturing cutlery since 1814 with a commitment to providing the very best kitchen tools while operating an environmentally friendly business. When you buy Wusthof, you are also buying the company's reputation for high-quality kitchen tools. It stands behind the products it makes, so you know your purchase will withstand the test of time.

Best Used For:

Put away your nylon spatula and use this Wusthof on everything from steaks, burgers and fish fillets to French toast, freshly baked cookies and fried eggs. Use it in your kitchen while preparing meals or on your backyard grill.

  • Wusthof spatula - Meat yes, Cookies No

At close to $35, I expected this spatula to be the be all and end all. It was recommended by "Cooks Illustrated" further heightening my expectations.

It's a good spatula, and performs best when using it to lift large things like pieces of fish or chicken or beef.

It doesn't work so well getting warm cookies off baking sheets. I couldn't figure out why until I compared it with my no-name spatula and realized the openings were too wide, and weren't getting all the cookie off the tray, leaving bits behind, and holes in the bottom of the cookies.

So, buy it if you're using it for meat or fish. It's sturdy. For delicate things like cookies, use another thin spatula with less opening room (can't think of a better way to describe this space) on the surface of the spatula.

  • Excellent Tool

Purchased this becasue I needed a better spatula and this was recommended by America's Test Kitchen and it performs up to their rating and my expectations. It's especially good on fish and eggs.

    I recommend this product.

  • great kitchen tool

Sharp enough to get under anything, very light, but strong and maneuverable, drips fat and juices back into the pan. Agree with the high ranking on America's Test Kitchen, and also agree that it is not cheap, so I hope it lasts a whole lot longer than the 2 weeks I've used it so far. Seems very well made, so I expect a long working life for it.

    I recommend this product.

  • I think this is great.

I primarily bought it for cooking and handling fish, but I find it is great for any food that is fragile.

    I recommend this product.
