The aebleskiver pan was much less than the one I saw in the store and I was impressed with the value and quality.

Aebleskivers!!

by Albert, OR
July 3, 2010

I was searching online to find one of these pans , and stumbled upon your website. I could not find one of these anywhere out here in Oregon, and it didn't seem like there were tons of them online either.
Being primarily of Danish heritage, I had hoped on making some of these little jewels for my family. So when I found your website, I breathlessly with fingers crossed ordered one, hoping that it would be decent. Wow was I surprised when I received my pan a few days later. For about half the price of pans at other places, I now have a pan that I feel is superior. It is cast iron and not cheap aluminum, which means that it heats up more evenly, and also will not scratch like a teflon coated pan. Another advantage is that it is more compact then many other designs I have seen making it easier to store in less space! I believe I have stumbled on to a great product and a great value, and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in trying Aebleskivers out.

Great value - Great Fun

I'm very please with the Aebleskiver Pan. My first adventure was aebleskivers stuffed with marshmallows and chocolate for my nephews' sleepover. They were a great hit. I used an authentic buttermilk recipe found online and seasoned the pan before use. I was surprised how easily they turned. (I used wooden kebab skewers.) They were delicious!

Disappointed

Be sure to take out a ruler and think about a pan that is 6.75 inches. It's tiny! I bought it as a gift thinking it would be like the one from Williams Sonoma (not realizing that one is 9.5 in), but when it arrived I was shocked at it's tiny size. I had to buy something else to give to the intended recipient. Although, if size is not an issue for you and price is more of a concern it is made of high quality cast iron and is a much better price for such a niche product than WS.

Great "Little" Aebleskiver Pan

by Judith, SC
August 10, 2011

I bought the pan because of the smaller size as opposed to the larger aebleskiver pan collection I have. The wells (holes) are the same size as a regular sized pan but the pan is a little lighter in weight and smaller in diameter than the others.

It is a terrific little pan and I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone who likes aebleskivers!

I purchased this item for my neice, my mom had one and gave each of her children one. Our recipe has been handed down for 5 generations and my neice is into geneology so her mom and I decided it would be the perfect gift for her! Our family has enjoyed these treats for many years and I hope for many years to come. The quality if excellent and the price was very reasonable.

Pan works great. Nice and heavy. Mix doesn't stick. Only wish it could make more than five aebleskivers. Can't seem to find a bigger one anywhere so this one will do the trick.

Wonderful

by Kay, IL
December 2, 2010

This pan makes seven aebleskivers which my family loves. It comes pre-seasoned and only needs to be rinsed with water and dried well before the first use. It is a fun addition to the kitchen.
There was a manufacturers defect with the first pan I received. One of the compartments had an extra "blob" of cast iron on the bottom. Not being smooth, the aebleskiver could not be turned. I contacted Cooking.com and they emailed a prepaid postage label for return of the cast iron pan and sent a replacement immediately.
WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This pan would be fine for an electric stove, but it is too small and wobbly on the burner grate.

I have been looking for one of these found this one and have used it once. Was great fun to make aebleskivers and I plan to make more. I saw a larger one at an antique show and it was $82. I think this is a real deal!

Good for the Price

This is not the best cast iron item I have seen but its quite good for the price. Finish is a little sloppy in a few areas but definitely will not prevent it from functioning properly. I like the size as it fits on my small burner quite well.

I have been looking for a cast iron aebleskiver pan for months and was pleased to find it on this site. I have an old one that I've used for at least 40 years and this was a gift for my now adult son. The free shipping was a big bonus.

I'm happy with the pan except for one comment - the individual sections are not as deep as I would prefer and as my old pan. Other than that, great value.
