Whether you're making a tropical fruit tray for a backyard luau or mango salsa to serve with mambo chicken or seared tuna for a weeknight dinner, this OXO 6.75-in. Good Grips White Mango Splitter makes fast work of an ordinarily tedious job. The splitter lets you remove mango seeds and slice the fruit in half with one simple motion, so you can power through food prep and spend more time enjoying your meal with family. The stainless steel blades are super sharp, so even the softest and ripest fruits in the bunch slice up evenly and quickly. The tool's silicone handles are comfortable and soft, and they're nonslip by design, making the splitter safe to use even with slippery fingers. Because it's designed for efficiency, this splitter reduces waste in the kitchen by leaving behind almost nothing but the seed, so you preserve more of the flesh for making mango chutney, mango and avocado salad, or a frosty mango and peach Bellini. Features:
  • Cuts mangos in half and removes seeds in one quick motion
  • Preserves more flesh from the mango for reduced wasteStainless steel blades are sharp and easily cut ripe or soft fruitComfortable silicone nonslip handles offer a safe and secure gripDishwasher safe for expedient cleanup

  • Mango Splitter

This is a great product once I had practice. Slicing the end off at the stem of the mango is a very important first step and is not on the directions. Without a flat bottom, I had a very hard time.and would have rated the product poorly. I also find it works best with firm fruit that has been refrigerated.

    I recommend this product.

  • Wonderful Device

I heard Bobby Flay say that he would not be without his mango splitter and I fully agree. I makes quick work of a slippery project. I slice a small amount off the bottom to give me a base and split them with the skin intact. I plan to buy a second one for my vacation home.

    I recommend this product.

  • Very Useful

The best way to use the Mango Splitter is to cut off the bottom part of the mango with a knife so it will stand up straight- then use the Mango Splitter. If you don't cut off the bottom the mango has a tendency to roll over when you are trying to use the Mango Splitter.

    I recommend this product.

  • Nice product

Cutting mangoes w/ a knife is ok, but this makes it much easier. Most importantly, you exclude the core nicely, and no problems with knives slipping on the ends of the fruit.

  • Oh well

The mango splitter works very well. It will have much use. It was a good value for the price, even tho on the weekend after buying it ,at a garage sale, we found the same mango cutter never out of it's original package for .50 cents. One of our kids will enjoy it.

  • 6.75-in. Mango Splitter by OXO

Slicing and peeling mangoes has always been a messy and awkward process. The OXO Mango Splitter makes short work of the task and results in a cleanly split fruit that is easy to scoop out of the skin. I heartily recommend this tool.

  • Quick and Easy...Mangolicious!!

What a great product! With the Mango splitter I get to enjoy more of the Mango. Using a knife is very messy and you lose a lot of the fruit. I no longer have to slurp on the peel to enjoy Mango's. This product is great for anyone who has diffuculty using their hands. I bought one for my sister and she too loves it because it is easy to use.

  • A handy tool for seeding a Mango

If you like tropical fruits, then you will likely enjoy the flavor of Mangos. But cutting one for the table has been a hastle until the Mango Splitter was available. I tried it the other day and it is a cinch to cut the mango into two equal parts. Of course, you still have to peel the heavy skin from the parts and then slice these up, but the hardest part (getting the seed out) is nicely done using the splitter.

    I recommend this product.

  • Mango Madness

I live in South Florida and we are in the midst of mango season. This product is a HUGE time saver and a great value for the money. We have mangoes of all sizes, including some the size of your head. I didn't think it would work on the giant ones but we were able to get it most of the way down (and completely around the seed) and then pull it back up to finish splitting with a knife. Normally, it's near impossible to guess where the seeds are in those, but it worked its way perfectly close to the seed even though it couldn't handle the fat end. It works best on mangoes that aren't overripe but it does a way faster and better job than you can do with a knife. I don't know what people are talking about with the bad reviews! If you have an overripe mango, it mushes and you can't get super-close to the seed with a knife anyway! If you're that worried about wasting a smidgen of mango, suck the flesh off the seed! (It's usually a little fibrous there anyway - yuck!) This is a GREAT product and I would highly recommend it! I've been cutting mangoes for years and am pretty adept, but this cut a good 1/3rd off the time it took me to make mango salsa AND I didn't have to worry about the knife slipping because my hands were covered in mango juice. So easy and safe, a kid could do it!

    I recommend this product.

  • Mango slicer doesn't cut it

I was really disappointed in this product. You have to apply quite a but of pressure in order to slice a mango and when you apply that much pressure you end up with mashed mango on your cutting board. I still use my knife and would not recommend this product. It doesn't live up to its claims.

The splitter works fine for normal size mangos but not so well for the small sizes sometimes found. Otherwise it is a valuable addition to our kitchen.

This is not worth money, I feel it take to much mango off I can do a better job with a knife. I wouldn't recomment this product to anybody.

  • Enjoy the fruit how it was meant to be

I only bought mangos once in a great, great while for the sole reason that they were pain in the butt to slice. I would end up getting different sized chunks and I just ended up butchering the mango. Now I have about 2-3 mangos a week because they are kind of expensive. But this mango slicer is amazing. It is PERFECT for the awkward mango seed and only a minute edible part is left.

    I recommend this product.

  • splitting mangos the easy way

This little gem works extremely well. Preparing 10 mangos for a recipe is no big job.

It takes one false try to learn the anatomy of the mango and orient it correctly in the splitter. The tool will not work with an overripe mango, but that is to be expected.

    I recommend this product.
