The domed lid traps steam efficiently and the two baskets can be stacked to accommodate different foods in each level. These steamers are usually used inside a wok (be sure your wok is about 2" wider than the 6" baskets) but can also be set over a stockpot.

While a few folks have written the picture(s) online didn't really show the relative size, this product is exactly what I wanted and fit my purpose.

The product turned out to be way smaller than I had anticipated. I was under the impression that they were much larger ( 8" wide ), boy was I disappointed when this 3x2 ft. box arrived. I hoped to steam vegetables, fish or possible fruit. The only thing small enough to fit inside would have been scallops, which I don't particularly like or eat. I couldn't even think of anyone to give it as a gift.

Nice size for 2 or 3, steams veggies and great for re-heating leftovers. Would be good for dorm room and RVing.
