  • I needed this cookie press to fill eclairs with a very light custard. The plunger's seating within the tube is not water-tight, so it was a big mess (custard coming out of the back end at the handle.)

I wrapped the plunger with teflon tabe used for PVC pipe fittings, about five wrappings, and it now works perfectly, even if I wanted to inject water into something. The company might wish to improve the seal of the plunger with the addition of some type of gasket. Thank You.

  • So-so

I was very excited about this purchase before I used it. The decorating accessories are wonderful, but the cookie making is difficult. I read the direction over and over again trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Apparently my dough wasn't chilled enough. It worked half the time I used it. I eventually got so frustrated that I gave up and I haven't used it to make cookies since. The decorating tips are great tho.

  • Performed as expected. . .

I bought my cookie press for Christmas 2008 and found it to be well working and handy. I have never used a trigger-operated cookie press before, so it took a little learning on my part, but all of the cookies came out great, even those that were not quite

  • Cookie Review

I read all the reviews before I bought this cookie press most of the reviews were positive. I was disapointed with this cookie press after using it as it didn't seem to preform that well. The dough stuck and it made small cookies. I am an excellent baker and my last cookie press was an italian cookie press that worked great it was more mechanical. I was able to adjust the amount of dough released. I will continue to look for a cookie press that will work and make great biscuits.

  • I was excited when I ordered this and had planned on baking Xmas cookies with it... but, I was a little disappointed because half of them didn't come out very well.

It was easy to clean and easy to work however, decent value for price.

I love this cookie press. After years of having problems with one my mom gave me, this made cookies a breeze by comparison! No more trying to figure out how many clicks to get the cookies just right. One click and it's perfect Christmas trees every time! Excellent product at a very reasonable price. I'm so glad I didn't go with more than I needed for fear of buying the

  • Worked Well

I haven't even seen a cookie press since I was a child (50 years ago), but I remembered the great cookies my Tante Marie used to make. I thought this one performed very well and was easy to use and clean. I especially liked the rachet feature, which sends just enough dough through the tube for a single cookie. (Some of the design templates worked better than others with this feature.) But the cookies tasted just like they used to and everyone who tasted them said

  • 6-in. Cookie Press by Kuhn Rikon

Having used an old-fashioned Mirro cookie press all my life, I found that this press generally produced well-shaped cookies more consistently. The quantity (as well as the consistency/temperature) of dough in the tube seems to be important. I have only used it once, so I still need to get the hang of it. This press is certainly much easier on the hands than the old Mirro.

One downside I would cite is the sharpness of the teeth on the plunger. Someone else had written that their child had to go to the hospital with a deep cut from it, and I believe that is possible if you are not careful.

  • 6-in. Cookie Press by Kuhn Rikon

This cookie press is the best one I have ever used. I had this metal cookie press that dates back 30-40 years and it was wonderful, but it finally saw its better days. I have since purchased 3-4 different styles (all of the top recommended cookie presses) and they were horrible. I had all but given up on making a spritz cookie again until I found this one. It was so easy to use and my spritz cookies came out beautifully.
