I was surpised that it worked so well. Took me a third of the time using this product and less dangerous than the huge knife I was using. Less back strain too. Would recommend purchase.

I have not used this for myself, but other members of the family have and they like it. However, using a sharp knife to cut kernels off the cob works best, I find, plus scraping down the cob with the blunt side of the blade gets all the good stuff off without any waste.

This is a woderful tool as we in Minnesota buy dozens of ears of sweet corn in the late summer, blanch it, cool, and then cut the kernels off the cob before freezing it in plastic bags for use all winter. It tastes like fresh sweet corn. This tool allows easy removal of the kernels and doesn't allow too deep a cut off the cob so it's just tender kernels that get cut off the cob. I've used one of these for years and finally found one to give to my daughter.

i tried the corn zipper the other day and i like it a lot. i purchased it because my grandchildren have lost there front teeth and this will be great when they come to visit for thanksgiving, i am getting corn on the cob just for them. i have always the kuhn ikon products.
