Mango Splitter
This is a great product once I had practice. Slicing the end off at the stem of the mango is a very important first step and is not on the directions. Without a flat bottom, I had a very hard time.and would have rated the product poorly. I also find it works best with firm fruit that has been refrigerated.

The best way to use the Mango Splitter is to cut off the bottom part of the mango with a knife so it will stand up straight- then use the Mango Splitter. If you don't cut off the bottom the mango has a tendency to roll over when you are trying to use the Mango Splitter.

I heard Bobby Flay say that he would not be without his mango splitter and I fully agree. I makes quick work of a slippery project. I slice a small amount off the bottom to give me a base and split them with the skin intact. I plan to buy a second one for my vacation home.

The gadget was a complete waste of my money. I bought a mango to slice and the core was larger than the cutter fit around. I ended up with mango juice everywhere, no perfect mango halves, and out the money for a faulty product and the mango. I do not recommend this product to anyone.
