An aromatic, sensual experience, Tazo Chai's ingredients are gathered from all over the world. Rich black teas are combined with cinnamon, Madagascar cloves, exotic spices, and creamy vanilla. These precious ingredients give Tazo Chai the perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness, and spiciness.

Long before lattes, roadside tea merchants called chai wallahs have been serving their delicious combination of strong black tea and exotic spices, prepared on open stoves and served with milk. One can see this ceremony repeated throught the cities, towns and countryside of India, in railway stations, open air markets, and remote villages. Chai is the staple beverage not only of the Himalayan hill dwellers, but of all India.

Tazo has reincarnated and captured the essence of authentic chai and packaged it for modern day consumption.

Tazo was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. By using high quality ingredients and a tremendous amount of experience and creativity, Tazo has produced unique products that create an emotional connection with the consumer at many levels. Tazo continues to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea, but presents this in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing. Unlike other tea companies, Tazo purchases teas in their original container as packed at the garden to ensure the tea inside the chest or bag stays garden fresh and is not exposed to the heat and moisture in a blending facility at one of the tea shipping points.

The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo constantly taste and determine which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.

The name Tazo has roots in many civilizations. Tazo actually means "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and was used as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties.

Tazo is kosher certified by KSA.

Not exactly what I expected. But still good.

I bought this product to cut down on the cost of my trips to Starbucks every day. The amount that Starbucks uses is minimal compared with what I have to ad.When Starbucks puts their 5 pumps of the TAZO into it comes out tasting great. I have to use half of the container to get it to taste even close. I was assured that the product I purchased was the same concentration strength as Starbucks. I do not believe that it is. I like the TAZO tea, but believe that it will be much cheaper to start going back to Starbucks....oh well, I had to try it out.

This is the original Starbucks Chai Tea. Prepare this way: 2 parts of Chai, 1 part of 2% milk and 1 part of water, heat well.

It doesn't taste quite the same as a Starbucks store purchased beverage because they use a concentrate, but it is a very close second! I like the caffinated version in the morning and a decaf version as bedtime with Silk soy milk!

Heavenly Chai

by Anthony, MD
October 23, 2008

When I first came across this product I was somewhat unsure of how it would taste. I had been buying a Chai product from a food chain that was very good but without explanation the food chain stopped selling it. I have searched a tasted all sorts of Chai, priced from the upper to the lower level and none could match the food chains product. Finally I went on line searching for Chai and found that Starbucks uses this type so I said I'd give it a try even though I am not a Starbucks fan. Low and behold, I found the Chai of my wife's dreams and have become a regular customer.

This Chai tea tastes diluted and more spicy than sweet. It appears to not have vanilla added to it, despite the container stating that it is. Also, this site advertises this chai tea to be what starbucks sells, when in fact the brand may be the same, but the taste is far from being the same.

Most calming and flavorful CHAI mix available. My husband and I are both hooked and only need to mix up a cup to reduce the stress if we are having a bad day.

My husband and I love Chai tea and are unable to buy the Tazo brand where we live. I was afraid to order because I thought the boxes might burst or leak. Your excellent packaging however insures this will not happen. I will ocntinue to order this product from your site.

Chai is nectar of the gods.

by Stuart, CA

I think chai lattes are one of the best drinks on earth, second only to water. The taste, particularly with soy milk, is a delight, worthy of the slow drink.

Tazo Liquid Chai the Best

I've tried other liquid chai teas, but none can compare to the spiciness, smoothness and richness of the Tazo Chai Liquid Tea

We are please with this product but we do not like how you wrap the product with bubble wrapper and tape. We had hard time taking the wrapper off because the tape is too strong and we had to use knife to cut and we had to be very careful not to cut the product. We did accidentally poke into the product and we force to use this product before it get spoiled. Can you use weaker type of tape so we can easily remove them without using the knife
thank you

Addictive!

by Tedd, NY

This stuff is the exact same stuff they use in a Starbuck's chai latte, but nowhere near as expensive. It's a real pick-me-up in the morning.
