If you've ever made guacamole or a fresh salad topped with avocado, you know how tricky it can be to remove this tasty fruit from its peel. With the Avocado Slicer, it's a cinch. All you do is halve your fruit, remove the pit and slide the slicer just above the skin to scoop and slice at the same time--your ripe avocado is then ready to eat! Slicer is made of 18/8 stainless steel and the handle is easy-to-grip santoprene (rubberized) so it won't slip as you slice. Dishwasher safe.

Makes the job easier

The slicer has made getting the flesh from the avocado a very quick and easy process. It took a little getting used to at first, but now it is a snap to get all the flesh from the peel and not waste any by leaving it behind. The slices it makes are perfect for garnishing soups or sandwiches and are easily mashed to make guacamole in a snap.

not as easy to use as it looks though. Doesn't come out as super neat, not all avacados are the right size.

The only problem with this product is that it is rather small in circumference--it won't handle larger than normal avocados. I might have been better off buying a graduated set of slicers that I have seen on the market. It does make nice, neat slices and gets rid of the peel without losing too much meat.

This is a great tool for large avocados. The kind I get where I live are smaller, however, so it was always too big. I had to give it to a friend from out of town. If you buy the bigger ones, definitely would recommend.

Maybe it would work great on very large avocados, but for the regular size, it's too big. I can use a large spoon with less effort.

Because we serve palta (avocado) daily with our meals, this slicer has made it a breeze to prepare the slices for presentation. Before, we had to delicately remove the palta by hand and try not to alter it's shape before slicing it. A must-have for serving fresh palta slices.

This slicer is God's gift to avocado lovers! It makes extracting the avocado from its skin so incredibly easy. Now, instead of opting to scoop the contents out rather than spending the time to peel then slice it, I can do both in a matter of seconds. I love this slicer!

This little gadget is AWESOME-----I always hated "losing" so much of the avocado when peeling them by hand----I saw this at a friend's house on Thanksgiving, and knew I HAD to have one----as a result, I am now enjoying avocados every day, not just "every now and then". This is a great tool for anyone who loves to just eat avacados. It will slice avacados of any size. Whether you just want to slice them and eat them or mash them and make guacamole, this tool is the one to use.

The item is great. I think this item and the S&H could be priced less, however, it is a great tool and I'm having fun with it. It makes preparing avocados for salads and sandwiches, and making guacamole much easier.
