It's exactly what I was looking for. You can't find these just everywhere. Good thing it's stainless steel - what I had before was chrome (a cheapy) and it rusted out. This one won't do that. It was a little more than I had been hoping to pay, though.
The strainer is set up for left handed use. Not something I though about since the photo shows it as a right handed tool. To use it right handed, the bottom lip of the tool doesn't support on the pot and it slides around loosing your cooked food in to the sink.
Once you've had one of these strainers, you'll wonder why you ever bothered with the bowl-shaped ones! Not only is it quick and convenient, it stores compactly in a drawer and fits easily into a dishwasher. I'm a busy career mom who loves to cook and this is in my top 5 favorite gadget list. When my friends/family watch me cook they ask me where I got that neat little strainer--I gave two of these this year as Christmas gifts to family members who both said
The strainer is very difficult to find in the stores, and it is the best quality. Thanks so much for having it available...and I gave them as gift over Easter, and everyone was so happy to receive.....they had never used them before, and were delighted. Thanks again!!!
