You schedule the frequency you wish to recieve orders in one-month, two-month, three-month,
and six-month intervals. Choose your preference and we'll send out the shipments
on that schedule automatically. You can return and modify your subscription schedule
online at any time. You'll only be charged for each order when the item is shipped.
The amount charged each time will reflect the price of the item on the day the order
is placed, plus any applicable sales tax.
Update or Cancel at Any Time
Simply login to your "Manage Recurring Orders" page in Your Account at any time
to modify the frequency of your shipments, the quantity of your subscription, and
billing or shipping address and payment methods. Changes will take place immediately
and will be applied to all unshipped orders associated with your subscription.

You read it right: If you find an item you bought with us sold for less somewhere else, we'll match the item price!
How It Works
If you should find a lower advertised price on an in-stock, identical item from one you purchased from us, you can submit a Price Match request up to 14 days after your purchase.
Forward your order confirmation email or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include a link to the retailer's website promotion with the lower price. Please include "Price Match" in the subject line of the email.
Once approved, the price match will be calculated and refunded based on the item price. (Note that some exclusions may apply to keep things on the up and up.)

Without a doubt, this is the best knife I have ever owned. I have several Wusthof knives, and this knife started out sharper and stays sharper. This makes it so much easier to control, from chopping garlic to thinly slicing tomatoes. I've been giving out these knives as housewarming gifts to all of my friends.
This is our 2nd Shun (the other is the 6 inch w/ offset handle) and once again we're extremely pleased with its performance. The weight is well balanced. The blade glides through meat, cheese, veggies, etc like butter- with little effort. The only thing to watch is that the blade is extremely sharp and if you're careless it's easy to cut yourself (learned firsthand!)

The Shun santoku is a remarkably versatile knife that almost eliminates the need for a heavier chef's knife. The edge is razor sharp, as one would expect from a Japanese knife and the handle ideal for smaller hands. If you're used to German knives the smaller bolster may take a while to get used to, but I think it actually forces you to hold the knife properly. I have a three year old Shun chef's knife that has been consistently honed and is finally in need of professional sharpening, so I anticipate the santoku will be similarly durable.
Remember that it pays to get Japanese knives sharpened by someone who really knows what they're doing because of the possibility of damaging the blade angle. I sharpen my own German knives with a wet stone, but would never do the same to the Shuns.
Overall: highly recommended for almost any cutting job, especially if you have smaller hands.
I purchased this knife for my daughter and husband, both of whom are avid kitchen chefs. My daughter is actually an amazing cook who I believe should be on Top Chef! My daughter wrote me an email to say she loves the knife and she never sliced a carrot so quickly and effortlessly. I used my husband's knife for slicing chicken breasts into cutlets and the knife glided through the meat effortlessly. One word of caution: as my husband was opening his new knife on Christmas morning he was having difficulty with the plastic packaging and the knife slipped out and took a nice little slice of his finger. I still can't figure out quite how he managed that, but you get the point. The knife is sharp! I think this knife is a very good quality knife and an excellent addition to the kitchen. Its design makes it a good choice for cutting vegetables or slicing meats. I highly recommend it.
