My first but not last Santoku

I ordered this knife mainly so I could try it. First, I like Wusthof knives better than any other German made knife. I was surprised at the light weight of the blade. This wasn't a plus for me because I would have liked a heavier blade for better balance. Nevertheless, this is a useful addition to the knives I use daily.

This is a great daily knife. Quality is great at a reasonable price.

The weight & balance is perfect. Really great for veggies because they don't stick to the blade. Wusthof is the best.

Best all around knife in my kitchen; I use it constantly.

Nicely balanced, attractively finished, razor sharp knife. Handle is amply offset. Slight curve to the blade for mincing. Good experience with this manfacturer in the past.

Great knife! It is my first Santoku and I was not sure it would measure up to my great Wusthof Classic 8" Chef's knife, but it's just as good & versatile. A good addition to the block.

This year both I and my father asked for good knives for Christmas, and after a lot of research I thought this would be the best one to have. I've never had a super-sharp, well-made knife before, and boy was this a beauty to slice with. It's just amazing how easily one can chop and slice with a good knife. I suspect this will get a lot of use as my all-purpose knife.

I have used my knife quite a few times since I received it. I love it in most every way. I have to say, I did expect the weight to be a bit heavier...other than that...it's razor sharp and does the job.

A must-have for the chef with the Classic line of Wusthof knives.

This knife has one of the best edges I've ever cut with. The knife feels good in the hand -- it is very well balanced. Highly recommended.

Finally got to use it over the weekend...cuts phenomenally, smooth and easy to control...Had to share it with everyone in the family so they could try it too. Am looking forward to a lifetime of use. Now I need a knifeblock with more slots.

It is great. It cuts as described. Thin very sharp blade makes ultra thin cut easy.

This is a "must have" knife in everyone's kitchen. I am replacing my other (well known) knives with Wusthofs. I find that Wusthof knives are nicely balanced and handle easily.

Of all my Wusthof knives, this one is my new favorite. It is unbelievably sharp, so forewarn anyone that may pick it up!

This knife is a very good value. I find the handle and weight are comfortable for a woman's hands. Very happy with this purchase.

I love this knife! It slices to quickly and easily through all the different veggies I prepare. It's especially great with tougher foods like sweet potatoes and pineapple. I even used it on a pretty tough loaf of bread - it cuts better than a bread knife. Great for mincing, too, as food does not stick as much to the blade.

Since this knife is new I am not sure it is worth $90. I found a Chicago Cutlery one for $9.99 for our second home. Right now both work great. We will have to judge the value over time.

I've just about done away with using all my other knives. It's perfect for most all jobs...I'm very happy with my purchase.
