This is the 7 in Santoku Knife
This is a well balanced and very sharp knife. This is a great knife for the price. I have several different kind and makes of knives. This one is by far my favorite knife. I would recommend this to anyone. Thanks for a quality knife. L Logan

Coming from the Wustoff (sp?) Classic Santoku, the round handle took some adapting. Also, the cutting edge is longer and more curved than we are used to. But for $30? Totally worth it. Works well for mincing and slicing. Once it's in your hand for a minute you won't care about the shape of the handle or the shape of the blade. The target audience (my Mother In Law) loves it and is happy to replace her concave-edged 8" chef's with this quite nice knife. Have not used this one enough to need real sharpening, but it steels up nicely.

It has great balance and keeps an edge better than any knife in my collection. I am fussy about my blade tools and have spent countless hours and dollars learning how to sharpen well and with what type of equipment. The 5" is REALLY good. Based on the great experience with the 5", we bought the 7". The balance is good, but not as good as the 5". A bit heavy in the blade end and just a bit too heavy overall. Apart from that - great knife.

The first several days using this knife were terrific. I followed instructions for care and use very carefully, never letting the blade sit in water, and cleaning it at once and re-racking it into my knife block. But, the blade does get dull fast. I am disappointed due to the over inflated hype about this knife, and the cost. Not a good buy in my opinion. I am going to check out ceramic knives next to see if they hold an edge better than steel.

So far with this knife I have carved an entire ham, thinly sliced beef roasts for french dip sandwiches, chopped, sliced, and diced almost everything under the sun. And STILL haven't had to sharpen it! I've had it for about a month now and couldn't be more pleased with it. If you're looking for a well made, reasonably priced Santoku knife then look no further.
