Chop your way to amazing Asian-inspired dishes with this Wusthof 7-in. Grand Prix II Santoku Knife. Its Granton edge lets you slice delicate cuts of fish without tearing for picture-perfect sushi. Each groove in the edge of this knife also prevents foods from sticking, so you can easily slice cheeses without having to remove each piece from the knife's blade. Constructed from high-carbon stainless steel, this knife is designed to stay sharp for long periods without frequent honing. Cut through large pieces of beef and thick vegetables with ease thanks to the wide blade, which also makes it easy to scoop up your sliced and diced ingredients for quick transfer to your pot or wok. We love this knife for its multiple functions in your kitchen, from creating delicate cuts to chopping thick root vegetables, all with speed and precision. The slip-resistant handle helps you keep a firm grip, making it easier to cut tough cuts of meat. For beginner home cooks and master chefs alike, this santoku knife is one piece of kitchen equipment that should be in every kitchen. Best Used For: Use the razor-sharp blade to make thin cuts for sushi or sashimi. Chop chicken, beef or pork for a garlic ginger stir-fry, and use the flat side of the blade to crush garlic. Chop peppers and onions for spicy fajitas or a hearty Denver omelette. Features:
  • High-carbon stainless steel blade lasts longer between sharpening
  • Full tang allows for better balance while cutting
  • Nonslip handle helps you keep a firm grip on this knife
  • Blade Length: 7-in.

  • This knife is wonderful! Cuts through anything like butter. I've never spent this much money on a single knife before, but I was so tired of dull knives that I felt it was worth the extra money for a quality product that will stand the test of time and use.

    I recommend this product.

  • Wusthof Grand Prix II 7 in Santoku Knife

I love the way this knife cuts. Cuts smooth...just like butter! The first time I used it I cut a mango and the knife just slid through the skin and flesh with ease. I put no effort into it and it cut the mango in seconds. The only thing I don't like about the knife is that certain veggies stick to it when chopping and I still haven't gotten the hang of the knife as I have with the smaller version (5 inch santoku also by Wusthof)...maybe because my hands are petite. It's OK though because my son is very tall and he uses the knife as well. I do love the way it slices my grilled meats, especially my carne asada. It's also great for making finely chopped relishes and salsas.

    I recommend this product.

My daughter teaches family and consumer science. She is a great cook and baker. Her request for Christmas was a Santoku knife. I trusted the Wusthof product name and ordered it from Cooking.com. She was thrilled to receive it.

  • Wusthof knife

I have a friend that never owned a quality knife. She has watched me use mine and has requested that I give her lessons on the proper way to use one. The problem is her knives wouldnt cut butter ( cheap ). Saw this one on Paula's site and with a good price. I use only Wusthof knives, their great, decided to buy 2 for the price of nearly one. One for my friend and one MORE for me. Never have enough knives. Now I will enjoy showing her the proper way to use it. Especially with a quality knife. I love Paula Deen Store. My 3rd order in less than 2 months. I received it much quicker than I anticipated. I'll be back and find something I just can't live without. Merry Christmas Y'll...

  • A great addition to my knife block

My boyfriend has a knife like this, so I learned why it is a good design. The key advantage is that the little dimples in the side of the blade allow you to cut carrots and other vegetables without them flying off the counter onto the floor. This is a very nice knife - I highly recommend it.

Bought this for my husband (the resident cook). He raves about it and claims it's the best gift I've ever given him. I used it last night and was surprised at how easy it was to chop and cut things.

  • This knife is very sharp but I'm a little disappointed in how the food sticks to it. It could be my misunderstanding but I thought food was not suppose to stick to the knives with this type of edge. Other than that, it's a great knife.

    I recommend this product.

  • I have an entire set of Cutco knives, however, the Santoku knife was not part of the set. I absolutely love this Santoku knife better than any knife i own. I use this knife for everything, and I rarely use my Cutco knives. They say food doesn't stick to the knife, however, I find that not true. Even though food sticks, it doesn't matter because this knife outshines any knife I have ever owned.

    I recommend this product.

  • The Wusthof knives are the absolute BEST! I LOVE my santoku knives from them, this is now my 4th Wusthof santoku knife, that is how much I LOVE them! I've tried other knives, but they don't compare. They're sharp, easy to use, and make chopping a breeze and a pleasure! You can't go wrong with this knife!
