Add maximum garlic flavor to your favorite dishes with the help of this Zyliss 7-in. Nonstick Jumbo Aluminum Garlic Press. This garlic press is made from durable aluminum alloy for lasting use, even in kitchens where garlic is a favorite ingredient, and it has a nonstick-finished hopper, so garlic releases efficiently after pressing and there's less mess left behind. Whether you're making garlic hummus, garlic and basil pesto or garlic chicken adobo, this press has tiny holes that turn out finely pressed garlic. The holes also release the maximum amount of oil from each clove for more intense flavor and the right texture for blending into dressings, sauces and soups. Its extra-large hopper holds more than one clove at a time without the need to peel the garlic first, so you can quickly power through meal prep, and its ergonomically shaped handle is easy to grip and comfortable to squeeze and dishwasher safe, minimizing your time in the kitchen. Features:
  • Jumbo size makes it easy to press multiple cloves at once
  • Easy-squeeze design for comfort during usePresses garlic without peeling Ergonomic handle provides a secure grip and maximum leverageMade from aluminum alloyNonstick finish inside hopper releases garlic quickly after pressing for less messDishwasher safe for fast cleanup

  • Cook's Illustrated rated this press as a Best Value. As I have broken more garlic presses than I care to count, I am hoping that this one lives up to its recommendation. So far, so good. Also like the tool for cleaning out the holes... and the fact that it snaps into the handle so I don't lose it.

    I recommend this product.

  • good product if you're strong

This press definitely works and you don't have to peel the garlic first. But, it is very difficult to actually press. I have to hold it against the counter and push. So I don't recommend it if you have arthritis or you can't bench 75 pounds!

    I recommend this product.

  • Needed a new garlic press and bought this one due to the America's Test Kitchen recommendation; it has met expectations (it actually works and doesn't feel like its going to fall apart if you squeeze too hard).

  • Zyliss Garlic Press

I orderded these as gifts because I won one myself and think it is a great product. My one beef is that these were previously made in Switzerland but are now made in China. Even more annoying is that Cooking.com still lists it as made in Switzerland. I was very annoyed when I received them and had it not been for the issue of time and need to have the gift when I needed it, I would have sent them back. I felt mislead.

  • BUY THIS ONE! Throw out the rest.

I have multiple garlic presses including the original Zyliss garlic press. I am blessed with a mother who grows elephant garlic just for us kids since we cook so much; I tend to take the lion's share I think. I have been buying garlic presses trying to find one that can handle those monster cloves and that wont strain my wrist and fingers to badly. I usually call my husband to press the garlic. Now with this new one I have been able to press my own cloves of garlic again! I also love that the cleaner is tucked away right in the press so it doesn't get lost like the one to my original zyliss press did. Can't think of any improvements.

  • Easy to use and sturdy. I am lazy and don't like the tedious work of removing the skin from garlic. This press solves that problem.

  • Aha! A garlic press with real functionality

It presses the garlic, then it helps clean itself up and stores the tool. What more could a person ask?

  • This product is not as good as the older models. I believe it is the type of metal used. It takes much strength to use it even thou I peel the garlic first (which you should not need to do)

  • VEry Helpful, but may be difficult for some..

This is one heck of a garlic press, but some may find it a bit hard to extract the cloves. I have only tried it with the cloves still in their wrapping, but I really have to sqeeze. I thought about getting one for my 60+ mother, but question whether she would be ale to sqeeze it right. Maybe it is easier if you take the clove out of the wrapping, but you don't have to get to the fruit!!

  • I have a list of all items recommended by Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen. When I see them, I buy them when I can. I like not having to mince my garlic anymore and this gadget does the trick. I do find I have to squeeze a bit harder to get the garlic all the way through the holes, but the press works great regardless.

  • I like the cleaner that comes with it for scraping out the inside. I found I still slip the garlic out of its skin so it will take less pressure to press. Otherwise I have to scrap it clean inside each time to remove the skin to be able to press the next piece. I keep it right in my garlic bowl.

  • ATK right on target!

Cook's Ilustrated recommends this product, so I bought it! Now I know why they say this product is so good. 2-3 cloves of garlic at one press. And it is easy to clean.

  • I bought this garlic press because it was recommended by Cook's Illustrated. I like it because you do get more garlic flavor then just mincing like I used to do. I also appreciate that it's light enough to carry with me to clients' homes.

  • Zyliss Garlic Press

    Nice features:
    - Cleaning tool which stores in the handle.
    - Does an excellent job
    - Do not have to peel garlic first

Even though this garlaic press is excellent - it is not for whimps. Does take a bit of muscle. But, well worth the effort.

  • Best Press Ever

Have purchased numerous other garlic presses but found them to be less than adequate. Then I purchased the 7-in. Jumbo Aluminum Garlic Press by Zyliss and fell in love with using garlic. I have small hands and not much squeezing strength and this press is so easy to use and easy to clean. It made my life much easier. Thanks for having such good products.
