Cooks Illustrated rates this garlic press as the best. I thought I had a good garlic press until I got this one. The handles are long which creates more leverage to really crush the garlic in the large hopper. Whether you press one clove of garlic or several it gets the job done quickly. This garlic press is easy to clean thanks in part to the detachable cleaner. I haven't chopped one clove of garlic since purchasing this garlic press.

Wow! It works consistently. I just started using it, but it can take a great deal of pressure. It presses garlic with the skin still on, awesome. Oh my god! save me some time in the kitchen! also works great with ginger. Don't know how I'll go back to chopping and crushing with the chef's knife although guests love the theatrics.

I was hoping that it would be easier to squeeze than it is. It does a very good job of pressing the garlic...just isn't real easy. It is nice not to have to peel the garlic cloves. It is also easy to clean...the cleaning tool works very well.

Works well; a little hard to crush several cloves at once. Longer handles would fix this.
A tip on using the"blue" hole cleaner. Insert the cleaner, then LEAVE IT IN and wash. If you pull it out before washing, the garlic tends to get pulled back in the holes. All in all; a great garlic press.

I like the cleaner that comes with it for scraping out the inside. I found I still slip the garlic out of its skin so it will take less pressure to press. Otherwise I have to scrap it clean inside each time to remove the skin to be able to press the next piece. I keep it right in my garlic bowl.

VEry Helpful, but may be difficult for some..

This is one heck of a garlic press, but some may find it a bit hard to extract the cloves. I have only tried it with the cloves still in their wrapping, but I really have to sqeeze. I thought about getting one for my 60+ mother, but question whether she would be ale to sqeeze it right. Maybe it is easier if you take the clove out of the wrapping, but you don't have to get to the fruit!!

This product is not as good as the older models. I believe it is the type of metal used. It takes much strength to use it even thou I peel the garlic first (which you should not need to do)

It presses the garlic, then it helps clean itself up and stores the tool. What more could a person ask?

This little beauty works great! I love that the cleaning tool attaches so I don't have to rummage through the drawer or my chef bag to find it! Great product.

superior product

I bought this product because it was highly rated by Cooks Illustrated magazine. And I love it because of the ease of use. No tedious peeling of the cloves is necessary. All you do is put clobes in the press, skin and all, and press. The garlic is sqeezed out, and the empty skins remain in the press! Just remove and toss out. I no longer mince garlic. I just reach for my Zyliss press - so much faster and the results are the same. I liked the product so much I gave them as Christmas gifts, and the recipients also loved it.

Super easy to use, even with my arthritis. One squeeze, and only the skin is left in the press. Worth the $$.

Zyliss Garlic Press

by Nancy, NY
May 26, 2009

I finally broke down and bought the Zyliss garlic press (based off of the product reviews). It does what it supposed to do, and it does it well. Need a bit of muscle to press, but definitely worth it. Really like this product.

I love this garlic press!

This is one of the best I've used. It holds several cloves at a time. I love the ease of use, however not so easy when you have the husk on the clove. If you peel the husk off there really isn't much left in the press itself. The cleaner tool is a big plus. Makes cleaning it a jiff!!!!

The Best Garlic Press!

by Robert, TN
November 20, 2010

I have had many garlic presses in my time, and this is, by far, the best I have ever had. You can stick 2 garlic cloves in there. Easy to clean, one piece only, and goes thru garlic like a hot knife thru butter. Be sure to smash the garlic 1st to easily remove skin. The rest is a breeze.

I have used many garlic presses over the years, and this one outshines them all! There is very little (if any) waste, and the cleanup is a breeze. Just recently bought my second one and had to buy one for my best friend, as well!

Garlic Press Broke

by Thomas, CA
December 19, 2011

I was very excited to get this garlic press as I have seen it on Sam The Cooking Guy. However, I was disappointed when it broke the first time it was used. Simply pressing a glove of garlic the press broke.

Very Pleased

by Olga, FL

This press works very well, does not require the muscle that so many of the older presses require. Cleans easily and the included cleaning tool is great. Very pleased with the purchase. Like that it doesn't come from China.
