This electric food slicer provides the home gourmet or professional with the option of true gravity feed while the fully hardened, multi-purpose 7-inch stainless steel blade effortlessly and efficiently slices from deli-thin to a half inch. Choose from horizontal or tilted position when slicing meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables and more. It features a powerful 124 watt condenser motor, gear drive and rugged aluminum and stainless steel construction. The cantilevered design accepts larger trays and makes cleanup easy. The food carriage retracts to accommodate extra large roasts, hams and other foods. A lockout switch allows limited access. Comes with a serving tray.

This is a very quiet slicer. Cuts deli thin and thus, for one example, makes a wonderful submarine sandwich. I slice everything except the hoagie roll for a submarine sandwich with this slicer -- meat, cheese, tomato, onion, pickle, lettuce.
My only suggestion would be a longer cord and a snap-in connection for the blade for easier removal and cleaning.

The ideas you have used as to Safety, are the real reason for buying this machine. The tilt as needed and the clean up time should be required on all slicers.

I wish that the disk was about 2'' biggest and support tray a little more comfortable, in short is a fine toy. My professional suggestion, a video was good with a chef showing the utility of fine toy before buying it.
