Perfectly cooked poached eggs in four minutes, then they slide easily out of the nonstick cups. Clear lid allows you to monitor progress without opening and releasing steam.

One minor problem was, after washing egg poacher, water collected underneath the knob area attached to the lid. I had to unscrew the thing and dry it out - minor inconvenience. Would recommend the poacher however, for the most part, it's a well made product. Eggs turned out great.

Solid - Sturdy piece of cookware

by Rita, CO
July 15, 2009

This is a great product overall. The pan is solid and a "feel-good" handle to hold on to. I wipe the insides of the cups with a paper towel that has a little olive oil instead of the spray on products, just because I want to ensure no-stick and the oil is healthy. The rings around the cups do not come off easily and I like that. They fit very snug and don't slop around like the rings on the R.S.V.P. model. I purchased that poacher first and sent it back (handle not sealed, rings slop around). If you enjoy the feel of solid quality in your cookware, then this is the poacher you need to add to your collection.

At first glance I thought the product was a bit over priced, but after the first use, I can heartily recommend it. This poacher is definitely worth every penny. The Demeyere is very well constructed and a snap to clean. The eggs have been perfect every time and I can also rate the recipes in the accompanying cookbook top notch. You'll enjoy this product.

This is a well designed product that turns out poached eggs easily and quickly. My six year old daughter insists on turning the little egg containers over when the eggs are done.....they just slip out (I use spray vegetable oil first) with no problems.

Nice heavy pan very well made, deep cups. Better than thin aluminum pan that I was using. Had not see a pan of this quality before. Would buy again.

dual purpose poacher

by barbara, WA

I was attracted to this particular pan because I wanted a poacher to use on board my boat and also one that would double as a useful sauce pan. It fits the bill. I have a Revere ware fry pan with poacher insert that I have used for almost 60 years. Obviously the cups were not nonstick so the new one makes it possible to cook an egg without adding butter. Much as I like butter it isn't part of my heart healthy diet!

I think this is quite a nice egg poacher.

I have asked for and received a variety of egg poachers in the past. One does not have much of a selection when receiving something as a gift. Past egg poachers that I have received were thin and light and the non-stick stuck to the eggs better than the little cups themselves. This time I didn't ask for an egg poacher for Christmas but purchased this on my own. To me quality seems to be the best economy.

This egg poacher is heavy and well made. The egg cups are well formed and the non-stick is of high quality. The handles stay cool and if you follow the directions a well made egg is produced.

If there was a criticism it might be that the cups are a bit taller than what I like, but my wife likes the taller cups. They cook the egg much more like an egg soft boiled in the shell. And she likes likes to scoop the egg yoke out of the middle first. As for me, I like to smash the whole lot into the toast and cut it into bits and eat the toast and egg together; which is easier to do with a thiner and flatter egg.

I got the egg poacher for Walt who loves poached eggs. He really enjoys using it and it is very easy to get the eggs out. This poacher can also be used as a sauce pan. It is very well made and I would recommend this to anyone that likes poached eggs.

Best Egg Poacher

by Beth, AR
March 4, 2008

This is the third egg poacher I've purchased from Demeyere (2 were gifts for others). It poaches eggs perfectly. It's not too heavy to handle but heavy enough to conduct heat properly. Eggs never stick to the cups. We love it.

My husband makes himself 2 poached eggs every morning and he loves this new egg poacher. His only question was can we order new egg cups if the coating starts wearing off of these as some of the ones we have had in the past has done? Thank you

Very Nice egg poacher. Heavy duty and nonstick egg pans make it an overall great pan.

Easy perfect eggs!

I read all the reviews before I purchased this item. I cannot believe the quality ot this poacher! I bought if for my husband who loves poached eggs but never wants to 'spend money' on gimmicks - - well, this is the only way he will make his eggs now. The cleanup is really easy if you slightly coat the pans first. We LOVE it.

Finally, an excellent egg poacher

by Nancy, AZ

Off and on over the years, I've tried different egg poachers. I've always been disappointed. Recently, I found your website and the Demeyere egg poacher. I had never heard of Demeyere, but after I read all the reviews, I took a chance. I love it! The poacher is everything I hoped it would be! It is a solid, heavyweight utensil that will stand the test of time. I really like the glass lid, so that I can monitor the cooking process. It also doubles as a sauce pan which I think is a bonus. Thank you from a very happy customer.
