The next time that craving for eggs Benedict or corned beef hash suddenly strikes, you'll be glad you added this Demeyere 4-c. Resto Nonstick Egg Poacher to your collection of cookware. Poaching eggs in a traditional sauce pan can be a pain; even if you manage to crack the egg perfectly and get it into the gently boiling water without breaking the yoke, it's difficult to keep the whites intact and to remove the egg in one, pretty piece. The Demeyere Egg Poacher solved those potential pitfalls by creating an ingenious stainless steel insert that holds 4 detachable nonstick egg-poaching cups. Simple heat water to a slow roll in the sauté pan, drop in the insert, break one egg into each cup and replace the lid. As soon as peer through the tempered glass lid and see that the egg whites have turned slightly opaque, remove the cover and retrieve your perfectly cooked eggs. The sauté pan itself is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a ¼-inch aluminum core and five-layer base for the ultimate in durable construction and efficient, even heat distribution. Between poachings, the sauté pan can be used to warm butter for your eggs Benedict's hollandaise sauce or for a variety of other stovetop uses.

Best Used For:

This pan's primary purpose is for poaching eggs. By removing the poaching insert and egg cups, the sauté pan itself can be used for creating sauces, reheating soups, melting butter and a variety of other small-volume tasks.

  • At first glance I thought the product was a bit over priced, but after the first use, I can heartily recommend it. This poacher is definitely worth every penny. The Demeyere is very well constructed and a snap to clean. The eggs have been perfect every time and I can also rate the recipes in the accompanying cookbook top notch. You'll enjoy this product.

This is a very well constructed pot with easy to use features. It has a suprisingly thick base for distributing heat. It was not my first choice, but I am very pleased with the quality and features of this product by Demeyere which I had not heard of until I bought this egg poacher.

    I recommend this product.

Good product. My previous egg poaching pan took as long to clean up as it did cooking. This product has good non-stick cooking surfaces and is well constructed.

  • Everything we hoped for and more

This is a quality product that gets the job done and is easy to clean. We do spray the cups lightly with non-stick cooking spray and have experienced no problems with sliding out the eggs.

I was also impressed with Cooking.com's efficient delivery of my order.

I would recommend this product to anyone interested in an egg poacher.

  • Quality Egg poacher

I tried several of the lower cost poachers only to find that the eggs stick leaving the cups very difficult to clean. This poacher actually lives up to its stated stick free function. Well worth the price. I only wish I had bought this one first.

    I recommend this product.

  • Excellent Quality Cookware!

This egg poacher is of quality construction and design. It heats very quickly and makes perfect, evenly-cooked eggs every time. This is very easy to clean -- just soap and water, no scrubbing or scouring! It does work well on smooth-top ceramic cooktops, and the pan is not discolored by the heat. This may be a bit more expensive than some other brands, but this is substantial and well-made and well worth the price. We highly recommend this one!

  • The absolute best no-fail poacher!

Do you like Eggs Benedict? This poacher makes them to perfection! Just follow the simple instructions inside. It is made of heavy stainless and is easy to clean. I have bought three Demeyere Egg Poachers as Christmas gifts. It is a true bargain from Cooking.com for only $31.95. Once, when I was desperate to buy one for my son's upcoming birthday--and Cooking.com was temporarily out of them--I was forced to order the only one I could find from New York for $54.00! Cooking.com said they would inform me when the product was available--AND THEY DID--just a few weeks later! I appreciate that kind of service!

    I recommend this product.

  • Quick and Easy

Excellent quality Egg Poacher with a very nice heavy pan.

Non-Stick really means melt a little butter first or use a bit of non-stick spray if you want the egg to just slide out. It's no big deal and it beats having shake the egg out the one time I forgot. As far as getting the eggs done the way you like them. It will just take a bit of trial and error (I'm at about 5 min 20 seconds at my altitude) but as long as you use a timer the results are more repeatable than anything else I have used. Easy, quick and very minimal clean up. It was a nice surprise to get a excellent quality item that has ended up being used several times a week.

    I recommend this product.

  • One minor problem was, after washing egg poacher, water collected underneath the knob area attached to the lid. I had to unscrew the thing and dry it out - minor inconvenience. Would recommend the poacher however, for the most part, it's a well made product. Eggs turned out great.

    I recommend this product.

  • multi-functional and sturdy

This egg poacher is very well-made and easy to clean. I use it as a sauce pan by taking the inserts out and it's a perfect size to make soup for two. Demeyere tends to be fairly pricey but this one is very reasonable and the quality is excellent.
